I recorded some of Holy Wars, I stopped right before he starts singing, but the reason I recorded it was to show you the tone that I would have if I was going to record a song for this thread. Yousendit is down right now so i'll put it up when its back up.

There's my .wav of Holy Wars. I didn't get around to converting it today, I probably won't even bother, I'll just try and learn the clean solo this week and post a final take most likely by next weekend, and probably another Take No Prisoners take. I'm going to try and learn Peace Sells and something off TSHF (Back in the Day?) too, lets talk about what other songs we want to do. Oh yeah, if we all have time I'd like to do Five Magics too. With summer coming up, I'll have the time to do it, and I think that song would be awesome to cover.

Five Magics would probably be a July project, I don't know it yet, but I finish school next week so I'll have time to. Maybe I'll start learning it tomorrow, I've got a half day and might even just take the day off. Same deal with Friday. I think Five Magics would easily be the most impressive of the songs we're talking about.

Okay, two ideas to throw some different spins on these songs.
1. Turn the clean Holy Wars solo into a bass solo, because I'm feeling too lazy to learn it :p
2. Get multiple singers to lay down tracks for Back in the Day, from this thread and the thrash thread, like Deth did live.

I don't remember exactly. I'm pretty sure the song on the PA right before they came out was either Run to the Hills or Pretty Vacant. I don't remember what was played while they came out.

Edit: I'm looking at the tab for Back in the Day now, this song is pretty straightforward, so I should be able to learn it pretty fast. I'm still deciding if I want to learn the solos or improv them.

Nope, I think they're 10-52, and my guitar is set up for 10-46. Maybe when I get it set up next (its actually overdue now), I will.
