DonMancini 02-17-2005 09:11 AM

And I've also been listening to The Who this week...

Zmev 02-17-2005 11:52 AM

Jawbreaker, Dear You is greatness.

Master Arkam Kannon 02-17-2005 01:56 PM
Brainiac, thanks to Zmev.
if Zmev is the reason you're listening to Brainiac you really havent been paying much attention to Tangy or myself.

Tangy zizzle 02-17-2005 03:01 PM

Cursive, Jawbox, Black Flag and Qua.

Zappa 02-17-2005 07:04 PM

Butthole Surfers' Locust Abortion Technician.

Been awhile since I spun this. Actually, I think I forgot it existed until last night, when I had to re-add all kinds of stuff to my iPod.

Scott Herren 02-17-2005 07:28 PM

Prince - Sign 'o' the Times.

Tapeworm 02-17-2005 07:31 PM
Brainiac, thanks to Zmev. Also M83, Sigur Ros and David Gray.
I have been listening to White Ladder almost exclusively for two days. It's such a great album. Also, I finally found a copy of the new Sage Francis album last night, and my gosh.

Oh, and by "thanks to Zmev", I think he may mean that Zmev was the source of the downloads?

Oooooooh, what does it sound like? It was was on Mojo's strangest album list at number 6 and The United States of America are just slighty above them and I'm in fackin love with their only relased album. They're kinda like the american version of early soft machine, remarkable stuff. So, yeah would it be worth it to download that album?

graydayjane 02-17-2005 07:48 PM

I've been listening to alot of Buitl to spill- theres nothing wrong with love album. And the postal service. Eeeeyah!

Zappa 02-17-2005 07:52 PM

They have nothing to do with Unite States of America other than the fact that both are fantastic. Check them out, for sure.

YDload 02-17-2005 08:01 PM

I recognize the new avatar Zappa; I think Nacho used to have a static shot of the album cover. Or maybe he just did the review of it, I don't remember.

Anyway, are The United States of America a different entity than The Presidents of the United States of America? Because that ought to be confusing, unless they sound nothing like each other.

Tapeworm 02-17-2005 08:16 PM

They sound nothing like each other.

Zappa 02-17-2005 09:03 PM

The United States of America were a psychadelic rock band that released one album in 1968. The Presidnets of the United States of America are a silly 90s rock band from Seattle.

Little Man being Erased 02-17-2005 09:06 PM

'silly'

hahaha.

biografiend 02-17-2005 09:31 PM
