Pot's a hell of a drug
that it is :smoke:

Jeff beck, eric clapton, Jimmy page, (to a lesser exten) Chris Dreja

Or

Warren hans (sp? :(), Duane Allman, Dicki Betts and Derek trucks.

?????????

Woodstock 08-17-2004 04:33 PM

Ok, this has been buggin' me
Please somebody agree with me.
The Beatles A Day In the Life song: After the "Woke Up got outta bed" part a series of Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah's is sung. These ah's are the same exact pattern as Deep Purple's Hush

creepy

Badmoon 08-17-2004 04:40 PM

Well, Deep Purple's is "Nah".

Badmoon 08-17-2004 04:43 PM

Allmans > Yarbirds

BludgeonySteve 08-17-2004 04:44 PM
Allmans > Yarbirds
You heard it, kiddies! Let it go down in the record books that The allman's guitarists are better than the yardbirds.

(I agree) Duane>all

Woodstock 08-17-2004 04:47 PM

I know badmoon, but they're the same notes and chord pattern

Badmoon 08-17-2004 04:49 PM

Well, I don't know about overall talent, but...

Clapton = Beck > Page

BludgeonySteve 08-17-2004 04:53 PM
Well, I don't know about overall talent, but...

Clapton = Beck > Page
Yeah. But...

Duane>clapton=Beck=betts>hans(sp?)>Page>trucks>dreja (even though he just played rythem).

:amaze: That's one long comparitive list.

Woodstock 08-17-2004 04:54 PM

Clapton=Beck

I don't quite agree

Badmoon 08-17-2004 04:55 PM

Haynes*
Duane>clapton=Beck
I don't know about that. And Page maybe better than Haynes, but I don't know.

BludgeonySteve 08-17-2004 04:57 PM

In my opinon duane had more skill then clapton.

I'm confused. This is such a strain for my rusty mind.

Woodstock 08-17-2004 04:57 PM

If we give it a try I think we could beat the Metallica forum in page #'s :naughty:

BludgeonySteve 08-17-2004 04:58 PM

Thread*?

I think we could. But we would have to kill that squirle guy. He spams in there so much. He's like me!

Woodstock 08-17-2004 05:00 PM
Never heard fo them :amaze:, albums/song suggestions please.
C'mon, I've talked about them here. Janis Joplin was one of their singers.

ZeppelinMan30 08-17-2004 05:20 PM

so...noboby knows I can't find that song anywhere and bitch trying figure it out. great ****ing song if anyone here hasn't heard it i strongly advise them to check it out
it.

Badmoon 08-17-2004 05:25 PM

What are you talking about?

ZeppelinMan30 08-17-2004 05:25 PM

as for the allman vs. yardbirds poll Dickey and duane were far more capable than the birds -page. Jimmy Page is simply a god and I can't even bear trying to compare him to ANYONE

themightyquinn23 08-17-2004 05:26 PM

Don't be foolish now. You know that Jimi is better.

ZeppelinMan30 08-17-2004 05:27 PM
What are you talking about?
I was talking about the song Ball and Chain. I didn't notice those errors

ZeppelinMan30 08-17-2004 05:28 PM
Don't be foolish now. You know that Jimi is better.
Not for me man, not at all....actully its pretty close but no ones playing affects me as emotionally as Jimmys

Badmoon 08-17-2004 05:28 PM

See, it's hard to consider your opinion because you are a fan. For all we know, you'll pick Page over anyone, and completely overrate his talent.

I think Allman, Clapton, and Beck can take him easily. I'm not necessarily going to say Betts though.
