Well, I finally got my SCI tickets, I'm kinda worried about how good they're gonna be. I guess that's what you get for waiting until less than a week before the show.

I don't know.

If you want those two songs go on AIM now.

 I remember that one. Classic.

Rockin' Horse is awesome. Their semi-newer stuff is great. Hittin' the Note is one of my favorite albums of theirs.

Hey Hey, My My is great too.

jpj 10-08-2005 09:33 AM

I remember reading that they were working on a new album, I can't remember where though.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-08-2005 09:38 AM

I still need their first 2 albums and Fillmore East. (It has a hole burnt though it  ) Anyone mind sending The Allman Brothers Band (s/t) and Idlewild South? I'd be extremly grateful if you did. :)

An offcial bootleg from 1969 came out a couple of weeks ago but I don't think that's what you're talking about.

jpj 10-08-2005 09:40 AM

No, it was a new studio album. I got an official bootleg from '70, it's really good.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-08-2005 10:16 AM

I think I'm finally getting into Jam bands and now no-ones talking about them. :-/

I can't get into those more Rock Jam bands like Moe., Widespread Panic...etc Gov't Mule would be good if only Warren Haynes wasn't their singer. Good guitarist but I really don't like his voice at all.

Can't get into the Dead's jams at all though. :-/

NP: Spoonful - Cream

BigTrav415 10-08-2005 10:23 AM

Hey guys. Just thought I'd tell y'all about a little site I found by accident that lets you stream pretty much any song ever. http://www.cdzinc.com. It's free, and as long as you have Windows Media Player, you can listen to anything on there. Great if you want to hear some stuff by an artist before you buy their album (or not).

np: The Beatles - Here Comes The Sun

You're crazy! Warren has a great voice!

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-08-2005 10:37 AM

I just don't like it for some reason. I can't really identify what I dislike about it. Not that it's bad or anything I just don't like it.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-08-2005 10:49 AM

I'm sick of people saying Jim Morrison was the Doors. He was just as important as any other member of the band. (except John) Without Ray or Robby songs like "The End" wouldn't be near as enjoyable. Not to mention the song that gave them fame "Light my Fire" wouldn't even exist! Jim didn't write music so the Doors wouldn't sound as unique at all. Without Ray's screaming organs, Robby's flaminco guitar or even John's Jazzy drumming style the Doors wouldn't have been the same band. Sure Jim had a great voice but what would it sond like without the other members? I'm a huge Doors fan and yes, I do like Jim the best (like everyone) but that doesn't mean the other members should get shunned to the side as if they weren't even important.

Edit: Has anyone heard Robert Randolph play "Voodoo Chile (Silent Return)"? It's fantastic I'm sooo glad I was fortunate enough to see him play it live. :D

NP: Voodoo Chile (Silent Return) - Robert Randolph (live at Bonnaroo)

magicbus 10-08-2005 10:54 AM

I've heard him play Voodoo Chile before, I think I heard it on a stream from Nugs. Verrrry cool.

I always thought Ray's organs made The Doors. While Jim is a huge part, and he's awesome, the organs have defined them for me.

jpj 10-08-2005 11:01 AM

Ray > everyone else

rockinbass17 10-08-2005 11:08 AM

Robby, John, and ray are all underrated musicians.
I was listening to When the Music's Over today and Densmore was doing all these little things in the middle that were so cool.

Did anyone else have to endure the SATs this morning?

I also agree about the Doors comment. There all awesome in thier own way.

magicbus 10-08-2005 11:39 AM

Can some guys upload some Traffic albums? Or any random album for that matter. I miss having albums in my Gmail when I open it.

I second the Traffic request. Especially John Barley Corn Must Die. I have Mr. Fantasy though

The Great Decay 10-08-2005 11:43 AM

I was wondering if anyone had a beatles album uploaded that they wouldn't mind sending. I have assorted mp3s but I would prefer to have an album. For some reason I never got heavily into the Beatles, but I think if I listened to more of them that would change. Thanks.

Ray's keyboard was awesome. Light My Fire wouldn't sound the same without it.

Yea, I did. I switched from Achilles Last Stand to Baba O'Riley and Won't Get Fooled Again to get pumped up.

I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I pwned all the math sections. It's just too bad I can't read or write.

ATM 10-08-2005 11:59 AM

The math sections owned me when I took it, but I did well with the other portions.

I got a 1120, which is pretty middle of the road.

I got a 1950 last June (on the new SATs, the score is out of 2400), and it would've been a 1310 on the old ones.
