Where did you learn Swedish from? Seeing as what I have heard on the grapevine about you puts you down as an American-born friend of Mappy's who sometimes shares his bed and his fetishes?
I'm not into traps and furries

But, yes, I am mappy's real-life broseph and American. We both like history, so maybe that's a fetish.

I learned Swedish mostly from An Essential Swedish Grammar, the lexin online dictionary and a lot of reading and talking on MSN

I probably want to move der some day. Jag vill dö i Norden!

EDIT - the only qualm I have about living in Sweden is that I wouldn't stand out at all if I only had blond hair. Might get boring.

My senior year:
CCHS students receive many individual honors for their accomplishments, including being named Presidential Scholars, A.P. State Scholars, and A.P. National Scholars. In 2003-04, 31 students were named A.P. National Scholars, one A.P. State Scholar, 154 A.P. Scholars with Distinction, 88 as A.P. Scholars with Honors, and 131 were recognized as A.P. Scholars.

Haha. You should bid goodbye to your wife and children then, and proudly proclaim, "I march on Valhalla!" Then you can shoulder your axe, walk out into the snow, and be found three days later, sitting straight up on a rock in the middle of a forest, frozen to death.

I was going to get a 8800 GTS but I thought I might get just a 8600 GTS to save money, since I am not that big of a gaming nut anymore.

And good work on the terabyte hard drive.

Have a nice sleep, Vince.

Well, My major is in a branch of mathematics and I'm taking a course that deals with number theory this semester, so Occam's Razor sez otherwise :p

Riva 02-27-2008 11:14 PM

I had this really good pasta in Prague once. It was vegetarian, but not awful. Tempeh, spinach, pine nuts and spaghetti in a very light virgin olive oil sauce. Sounds bad but it was incredibly tasty and filling.

EDIT: It's just like how Jason Bourne has been around since the '80s, yet people are only latched onto his name now that 3 movies were made about it.

And Leonardo was talented, sure, but people always seem to get caught up in the hype surrounding him these days, and forget masters like Vasari, Boticelli, Vecchio, Donatello, and of course the Master, Raphael.

Shows what you know.

I'm running Vista Home Premium 64 bit and it runs faster and smoother than XP and looks better, and is much more streamlined.

The hate against it is unwarranted.

And I paid $2400 including shipping, but keep in mind I was buying completely from the ground up so that included all my peripherals etc.

Still at least a couple hundred cheaper than any prebuilt, and I have the satisfaction of knowing I put it together myself.

It took me hours though, this was my first ever build, and the cpu cooler was a real bitch for some reason.

But it was worth it.

I'm just finishing up some tweaking, then I'm going to install some games.

Let me know how running older games on Vista goes. I am worried about the memory gluttony and also the backwards compatibility issues. Other than that, the other bad marks against it can be remedied out of the box.

1338 h4x0r 02-27-2008 11:20 PM

Vista is gei for a lot of reasons

Performance is arguably not the most important of them

Dude I cook my fetuccini alfredo in a frying pan and I have to mix it by tossing it. It's hard. I learned how to do it when I worked at this cool italian resteraunt. The alfredo sauce is basically just heavy cream, garlic, and ricotta.

1338 h4x0r 02-27-2008 11:24 PM

Well, my poor ability at cooking probably has some connection to the kinds of foods I like

I can eat things like scampi every so often but usually I don't like to eat foods that have heavy cream, a lot of butter or more than three or four ingredients.

No wonder I don't gain weight

Nostalgia 02-27-2008 11:25 PM

Alfredo is best made rather than bought. There are a few brands here that can be up to par with homemade, but generally they're too thick and are void of a garlic aroma, which is why I like about my Alfredo.

Well I don't play many old games, but the real problems I would have with older games is that I am running 64 bit Vista, that is what would cause incompatibilities and not neccessarily Vista itself.

Garlic is cool

@ 64-bit operating systems, I wonder why there was no intermediate step of 32-bit processors with 64-bit addressing space like they did with the old 16-bit dinosaurs

Bread and Faxes 02-27-2008 11:26 PM

Well, I'll only cook chicken alfredo every once in awhile. Because you're right. It's not great for you. Very fattening. I mainly eat alot of red meat during the week then treat myself on the weekend. But I also exercise everyday. Or try to. Though I suck at it. I'll work out for like 15 mins and get bored.

Riva 02-27-2008 11:32 PM

I might dig up my copy of XP if I end up buying a new pre-made computer, or requesting that XP is installed on it if I have one built.
