We should cover Mountain Jam or Dark Star.

ATM 06-17-2005 02:53 PM

Or Mississippi Queen.

Glitterati 06-17-2005 03:13 PM
Can I add in a 45 minute solo?
That'd sound so cool.

Good luck with that recording, guys, if you do go ahead with it.

lunch998 06-17-2005 03:30 PM

I was just jamming on drums, and I succesfully segued Me and My Uncle>Baba O'Riley>Spoonful (including the Wheels of Fire improv).

TAND 06-17-2005 03:35 PM

everyone in my school is into classic rock, mostly the hippy stuff. cause i live in a drug town.

White_heat 06-17-2005 03:56 PM
Is YYZ on that album? Cause i think it has one of the best bass riffs that Geddy has ever written on that song.
"YYz" is on Moving Pictures, still a great song

Meh, Baba is probably the worst Who song drumwise.

Now Baby Don't You DO it is great one! groovy

Yea, but sometimes I get in a lame arena-rock mood and just feel like bashing my cymbals. So I did that for a little bit (I didn't play the whole song through, just a part of it before I went into Spoonful jamming).

I usually try to play through Tommy, but that doesn't always go so well.

I like Baba O'Reily :(

It's my second favorite Who song, between Won't Get Fooled Again and Pinball Wizard. Baby Don't You Do It is growing on me.

np- Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds

And cya Schyma

Glitterati 06-17-2005 05:13 PM

Speaking of Tommy, I'm finally really sinking into it. It was a little overwhelming at first, but it's really growing on me. I really like concept albums.

robo2448 06-17-2005 07:13 PM

I listened to a little of Tommy today, but it's a time commitment to listen to the whole thing. I like when I have a lot of free time and I can just sit back and enjoy it.

MalcolmYoungRock 06-17-2005 07:24 PM

Tommy's a brilliant album.

Woodstock 06-17-2005 07:34 PM
Or Mississippi Queen.
I own that opening solo.

I finally bought Nick Drake-Bryter Later today. I have the complete trilogy of his albums.
Or Mississippi Queen.
It would be cool to do a Mountain song. "Never In My Life" or "Mississippi Queen" would be sweet.

AHEM, new cd update:

The Doors - Strange Days
Buddy Guy - Alone and Acoustic
Tenacious D - s/t

I also picked up the 2004 Bonnaroo Festival DVD. :D

ATM, you might wanna check out this Buddy Guy cd, I can upload later if you want.

robo2448 06-17-2005 07:38 PM

That Buddy Guy CD is good, somebody uploaded it in Other Music. Strange Days is my favorite Doors cd, along with LA Woman.

It's good psychadelic rock, When the Music's Over pwns all.

Woodstock 06-17-2005 07:40 PM

I bought the Crossroads Guitar Festival for my Dad for Father's Day. I also partially bought it for myself. From what I've seen on PBS, it's awesome.

BassMasterMike88 06-17-2005 07:40 PM

Isn't Buddy Guy doing some shows around the country this summer? I forgot who he was touring though if he is though.

robo2448 06-17-2005 07:43 PM

I've gotten my parents a ton of cd's that I actually want as presents because they like a lot of the same music. I've started feeling a little guilty about it now though and I'm probably going to get my dad something else for father's day.

magicbus 06-17-2005 07:57 PM

Yea Buddy Guy is touring, I'm going to see him.

And the Crossroads DVD is awesome.

If you always live by that philosophy, then what you consider bad now would be great years from now.

Get over your **** high school teenage hormones.
