So, I stumbled across my brother's mySpace.

I also wanted to throw up.

But hey, life is alright.
What was on his myspace?
Just funny things that make me feel like an inferior human being.

I swear, this kid's had more relationships than I have, and we're six-seven years apart.

His new girlfriend is reallllllllllllllllllllly freakin' ugly, though. Oh man. I don't care if they're middle school/junior high age. It's just gross[ly funny].

His interests and stuff crack me up, too, because it's so... I dunno, sophomoric? He says he's in high school (lies) and has an income of $250,000+. Hey man, you think you could help me pay for university? Come on, be a bro.

Just little things that I think are laughable. Defense mechanism++.

I still have welts from a war(more like a massacre, we only had one gun) me and my friend had last night with guns. His sister bought him this gun that shoots little yellow pellets. It's a fun little thing, although it's a little painful. :p

Exactly what my roommates have, except the pellets are green. They shot me in the back of the neck when I was sitting in my computer chair. That shit hurt more than I thought, but that's because they got the very top of my spine. Ugh.

MBS 11-27-2005 11:06 PM

You sound so distant from your roommates. They're killing each other with airsoft guns while you're sitting posting on MX. Way to go, Jom.

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-27-2005 11:07 PM

It hurts quite a bit on the kneecap from 2 and a half feet away as well. I woud like to pick one up, but I'm not eighteen, so I'd need to get someone over 18 to buy it for me. :p

Nah man, I was down there for two hours after we decorated the townhouse with Christmas festivities. But then I came upstairs to take a break and those bastards shot me in the neck. I then proceeded to tackle one of them on the couch and start digging in their ribcage.

It was freakin' intense, man. Good times.

Sounds gay. LOL JOKE.

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-27-2005 11:14 PM

That was basically my friends reaction when he got shot. He was playing Halo II, sitting very close to the TV(he has some kind of eye disease that makes him legally blind) and my other friend(posessor of the gun) shot him right in the knuckle. He got in up a flurry, and before I know it, I'm tangle up in a giant frenzy of slapping and kicking.

What fags.

Twas a great game. Went into overtime. I hate the CFL's overtime format, but it was a very exciting finish regardless.

Illmatic 11-27-2005 11:56 PM

What is the CFL's overtime like?

Leper 11-28-2005 12:11 AM

It's kind of gay. What they do is each team gets a chance to scrimmage from the opposition's 35 yard line (offence and defence determined by a coin flip). The first team on the offensive gets whatever they can (td, fg) on their first possession. Then if they score, or are held to no points, the other team gets their chance to scrimmage from the 35 yard line. If they match the first team's point total, overtime continues in the same format. If they score more points, they win, and visa versa.

I'm not a big fan of it myself, but it does provide some really exciting finishes, as there's no point in playing conservative.

Illmatic 11-28-2005 12:13 AM

Ohhh yeah, they have that in college football here in the states too, only I think teams get the ball on the 25 yard line instead of the 35.

I prefer the NFL's version of OT (sudden death, first team to score wins).

Leper 11-28-2005 12:22 AM

Ya I prefer sudden death OT too. It's more traditional.

Illmatic 11-28-2005 12:28 AM

Well, it's less gimmicky. College's OT system just feels contrived.

Leper 11-28-2005 12:34 AM

Yeah I know what you mean. It seems like something the XFL would've come up with haha.

BoboTheRagingHobo 11-28-2005 12:44 AM
Well, it's less gimmicky. College's OT system just feels contrived.
How is it "gimmicky?

When I watched foot ball, I prefered college style OT as it seemed more fair and more intense.

OT in the NFL is just about who ever gets the first possession and gets in range for a field goal. Whoop de do da, boring.

NP - Arcturus - Evacuation Code Deciphered

Illmatic 11-28-2005 12:54 AM

I dunno, I felt it was like baseball games being determined by a home run derby; it drags the game out and it feels unnatural.

In the NFL, one big play ends the game, and that adds excitement to it. College takes away that unpredictability.

Kurtz 11-28-2005 12:57 AM

I never liked the whole first-score-wins OT system.

///

And speaking of college ball, ZOMG USC-UCLA this weekend. It's the only time of the year where the entire city falls into schism.

Riva 11-28-2005 12:59 AM

I disagree. One of the things that mars Rugby Union (OMG NON-AMERICAN SPORT) matches is when the Golden Rule comes into effect in overtime.

The first team to score a point (try, field goal or penalty goal) wins, so it's just a scramble to throw it to the winger, so he can boot it from 30m out. It's tense, yes, but it's also a bit unsatisfying.

Leper 11-28-2005 01:01 AM

There's just something about that system that bugs me. I don't know what it is. I agree with you, it does make it a little more fair, but there's just something about it I don't like.

Maybe it's just that it's set up in a different format from the rest of the game. I'm kind of a traditionalist in that way. Not just with football either, with hockey too.

I think that new rule in the NHL with the lines behind the net that limit the goalie's available area to play the puck is the worst rule ever.

Illmatic 11-28-2005 01:01 AM

But on the flipside, I don't like hockey, but even I get excited during sudden death OT hockey in the playoffs.

Shootouts, on the other hand, are boring as hell.

Leper 11-28-2005 01:08 AM

Nothing better than a goal in the 3rd overtime period in the NHL playoffs. That's excitement!

EDIT: I don't mind shoot-outs that much, unless they bring them into the playoffs, then I'll be angry.

BoboTheRagingHobo 11-28-2005 01:26 AM
They are trying to make it more of a sport about scoring as many goals to bring in more new coming fans to make more money, that's what it seems like.

So I guess the goalies have to step it up even more, which is lame because they already work extremely hard to keep the puck out of the net as it is.

And hockey playoffs are fucking intense, especially when it comes to over time. I personally find playoff hockey to be the funnest time ever to watch a sport.

But sudden death for hockey is different, as it's not the luck of a coin drop to who gets first possession and also the fact that the possession of the puck changes every few seconds most of the time.

Leper 11-28-2005 01:42 AM

Yeah that's definitely true what you said about the fate of the game not relying on a coin toss.

Playoff time would be a little less stressfull for me if I wasn't a die-hard Leafs fan. I get my hopes up every year, and every year it's like a knife in the heart when they get eliminated.

That goalie rule is so terrible though. Afterall, the whole reason they made all these rule changes was to let the skill of the game flourish. So what do they do? They bring in a rule that limits the skill of goaltenders! Seriously, not just any goalie can handle the puck like Martin Brodeur, that is a skill that must be developed over time, and I think it's a damn shame that they'd bring in a rule that makes that skill obsolete. I agreed with pretty much every other rule change, but that one.

/end rant.

Ya, they don't have the greatest luck in the play offs.

I am/was a die hard Avalanche fan when I watched hockey all the time, so they always went far in the play offs except the two times they went into a 7 game series against the stars for the western championship. At the time my friend was a die hard Stars fan, so he rubbed it in all the time. They were always close games too, very intense.
