No. there is a series of jumps, and you have to ride over them without knocking rails. best time wins.
And if for a second you think" the horse does all the work" you have no idea what it takes to be a good rider.

I don't ride anymore though, and when I did I rode almost entirely Western. I did Barrel Racing and stuff like that. I miss it..But I don't have the time for it anymore.

Right now, im training the most retarded horse in the world. hes actually so smart, he ACTS retarded.
allthough i amthe only person at the barn able to make him jump a full course, and do flying lead changes ( that i taught him) I also got him to jump 3 foot 3.

I've only ever had a problem with a horse once, and I seriously couldn't take it anymore, and I gave up. It was RETARDED. I did everything I could to try and get him to even just go around the ring. And at about half way, he'd either stop, and NOT move (No matter how hard me, or anyone else tried, we couldn't make him move, and when you kicked him and ****, even with spurs on, he didn't seem to care/notice) OR he'd lay down, with the rider on his back.

Other than that, I've never really had a problem with a horse.

Actuallly, i did on tuesday. the retarded pony dropped his sholder and sent me flying into the mud. i had a concusion half of the week.

yeah this horse trys to roll with riders, and wont stay straight. but i dunno, i have a thing for horses that everyone else thinks to be unrideable. Hes thrown me into the eletric fense a good number of times, and many many flips onto the ground.
