Bartender 11-27-2005 11:33 AM

The self-titled is a good album. Everything that comes after is patchy at best.

Shattered_Future 11-27-2005 11:35 AM

I have a DVD of theirs with videos all the way up to Issues, I believe.

Some of them are entertaining, others are flat out weird.

I bought a cd as an impulse buy last night...IQ's Dark Matter.

So far, it's pretty good...reminds me of a non-crappy Pink Floyd mixed with a smudge of Dream Theater.

GenuineImitation 11-27-2005 11:35 AM

The first 2 were the best and follow the leader and Issues were good. They rapidly went down hill after Issues IMO.

Moses 11-27-2005 11:36 AM
Untouchables is a terrible album but that is the only one I have heard.
That sucks man. The first and second albums are pretty good.

the2stranger 11-27-2005 11:44 AM

Ok
Enough Korn talk now :p

now for something else, I had a very boring day.

np: Riverside - After

superpeer 11-27-2005 11:48 AM

Maybe you didn't listen to enough Korn.

I swear you have this thing where you hate good music.

It was a hilarious comment though.

If anyone likes Elfonia and would like a live bootleg, let me know.

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-27-2005 12:35 PM

Jelle dislikes all Tool except for one song.

NP: Ulver - The Truth

superpeer 11-27-2005 12:35 PM

Haha, I don't like Korn. Well, not really, I do like a couple of songs. But yeah, I dislike most Power metal.
Jelle dislikes all Tool except for one song.
A good song it is, though. :p

Lunch 11-27-2005 12:37 PM

Disney-Metal  That was good.

np: Riverside - Conceiving You

Neurotoxin 11-27-2005 12:42 PM

Bootlegs are legal uploads, correct?

the2stranger 11-27-2005 12:47 PM
Bootlegs are legal uploads, correct?
someone uplaoded that Mr Bungle bootleg a while ago, an it was all ok, even Bartender downloaded it :)
So I guess it should be good, as long as there isn't any copyright on it.

you might want to ask a mod though if you're not sure.

Bartender 11-27-2005 12:48 PM

Anything that isn't copyrighted, you can upload, as I understand it.

Neurotoxin 11-27-2005 12:49 PM

There are no known copyrights on it, so it looks like it's OK. I'll have it uploaded soon.

Shattered_Future 11-27-2005 01:40 PM

Elfonia = good.

I don't like Pink Floyd. Something wrong with that? I find them unbelievably boring.

Joe, you may think I hate good music, but you have a problem where you like bad music.

the2stranger 11-27-2005 01:42 PM

I'm not a huge Pink Floyd fan, but I like them, but atleast you should have respect for them!

Shattered_Future 11-27-2005 01:43 PM

I DO respect them. I just hate their music. :D

Ad Absurdum 11-27-2005 01:46 PM

Ugh, I think I broke my mp3 player (Creative Zen 30gb). I was trying to reload music onto it because every time I turned it on there would have been fewer albums on it than when I switched it off (it was randomly deleting stuff everytime I turned it off I think). So I was trying to put everything back on it and I kept getting errors, so I took out the connection to the computer and reset it. Now it's only going to a rescue screen but none of the options appear to do anything (all they do is a) say "hard disk error" and take me back to the rescue screen or b) switch off then go back to the rescue screen).

Oh, and Pink Floyd own :)

superpeer 11-27-2005 01:47 PM

Yeah, they are pretty boring, mostly.

EDIT: Pink Floyd, that is.

NP: Kreator - Pleasure to Kill

Shattered_Future 11-27-2005 01:49 PM

Ad, you'll probably need to reformat your harddrive, and/or get it replaced.

Same thing happened to me and my friend. Completely wipes your harddrive clean.

NP - Some Epica song. Pretty generic, but still good.

I have a 20 gig Zen.
once mine did weird, I just kept resetting it (by puting a paperclip in the reset hole) adn after a few times it was ok again :)

Dr. Jake Destructo 11-27-2005 01:51 PM

Ad Absurdum- I'm getting one of those for Christmas. How do you like it, other than the whole broken thing?
Ad Absurdum- I'm getting one of those for Christmas. How do you like it, other than the whole broken thing?
I have a 30GB one and I like it a lot, although the volume control on mine was broken and I had to pay $40 to get it replaced. That was also partially my fault because I lost my receipt and I would have been inside the warranty period where they would've fixed it for free.

Hey, I have that song finally complete. !!!

You know, the song of Tool with Robert Fripp... it's a rather long one, but it has an intermission... I don't know. Want me to send it for ya?

Ad Absurdum 11-27-2005 01:54 PM

I tried reformatting it but it just kept going to the rescue screen. I guess I'll need to replace the hard drive if I want to keep it. I was planning on getting an ipod if I could scrounge enough money out my family over christmas anyway.

Peter, that usually solves my problems too. It's only really in the last month that resetting it stopped solving my problems. It's a shame too, because it had been really reliable and sturdy up until then.

I really recommend them :)
I have the 20 gig Zen Creative, and it's very good
great sound quality, good battery.

friends of mine have/had I-pod, I'm glad I never bought one of those.
Zen is the way to go.

This sounds serious :(
Maybe the harddisk is broken.
how long have you had it?
cause mine has a one year guarantee.
Maybe you can get yours fixed for free too.

Shattered_Future 11-27-2005 01:58 PM

I love my iPod...only problem is I've filled it already.

It does NOT hold 5000 songs. Liars.

That's why they include the fine print that says at 4 minutes a song, which really means less than 4 minutes a song.

I want one, but they're so expensive

Fine, you have this problem where you hate music that is generally accepted by most music listeners, no matter what genre they prefer, as good.
Ad Absurdum- I'm getting one of those for Christmas. How do you like it, other than the whole broken thing?
It was great up until the last month or so. The only thing that I didn't like about it was it was a little too big for my liking, but it was oya because I kept it in my bad most of the time anyway. I think my case is a one-off too, two of my friends have got the same model as me (except one has the 60gb version) and they had no problems with it.

I'll phone Creative tomorrow and if I'm still entitled to free fixage, I'll do it. If not I'll probably just save up for a new mp3 player.
