**** why do I have to play drums? I can't do anything romantic with it!
Slow polyrythems :naughty:

Eh, it's just not the same.
**** why do I have to play drums? I can't do anything romantic with it!
Pfft, I'm sure you could bang 'em out a tune.

I didn't mean that to have any sexual connotations. I swear :upset:

Leper 10-03-2005 10:47 PM

Drummers get lots of ***** in bands, just not by themselves. Look at Tommy Lee for example.

And Ringo got the most fanmail in the Beatles. But thats probably 'cause he's got a cool name...

that my friend Asumi has confirmed means apple in Japanese. I wonder if that is why they named their label Apple Records

jpj 10-04-2005 01:20 PM

Or maybe all the girls felt sorry for him because he was the ugliest one.

Broken Arrow 10-04-2005 01:50 PM

Harvest Moon is good but I prefer Harvest/

jpj 10-04-2005 01:57 PM

I've only heard a few songs off of Harvest Moon, and I didn't like them, though they were a little cheesy. Harvest has some real stand out tracks, but then some of it is really boring.

I agree with most of what you said.

What about War of Man? If nothing else you liked that one, right?

Broken Arrow 10-04-2005 04:38 PM

Thats the best one on the album.
What about War of Man? If nothing else you liked that one, right?
Haven't heard it.
that my friend Asumi has confirmed means apple in Japanese. I wonder if that is why they named their label Apple Records
Wow, thats pretty weird.

Glitterati 10-04-2005 05:04 PM

Ringo was the first person Yoko Ono could really communicate with when she met The Beatles because of that apple fact.

I know they're not exactly classic rock, but does anyone like The Clash? I'm a huge fan of them, and just curious if anyone here likes them too.

Illmatic 10-04-2005 05:05 PM
I don't get it when people say that Clapton was best with Derek and The Dominoes. It was jsut one album and it had one great song and the rest was good but cmon: CREAM!
Because his singing and guitar player was never as passionate as it was with Derek & the Dominoes.

The Clash from 1977 to 1982 remain the only listenable punk band ever.

Broken Arrow 10-04-2005 05:56 PM

What about on "Layla"? Was that not passionate.

RockAndRoll 10-04-2005 06:00 PM

 Layla = Derek and the Dominoes.

I thought you liked the Stooges quite a bit?

Token White Guy II 10-04-2005 06:13 PM

Does any one here happen to know what Charlie Daniels' policy on autographing guitars is? He's coming to a Walmart a town over from me tommorrow to sign his new album and I'm wondering if it would be worth it to take my guitar along with me just in case he would do it.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

thickasabrick 10-04-2005 06:17 PM
What about on "Layla"? Was that not passionate.
I think you misunderstood him. He means Claptons work in Derek and the Dominoes was his most passionate.

I taught a student White Room last night, and another one Hard Days Night..ummm..I know there are some more that I can't think of. I hate not having anything good to add to this thread.

My friend showed me these lyrics he wrote and they freakin blew my mind, I half assumed that he copied if from a Bob Dylan song or something but he said they were totally his own. We're jamming tonight and I'm gonna try to set his lyrics to music. He'd probably be a good songwriter if he knew how to play an instrument for real, he plays guitar, bass, and keyboard but he doesn't actually know how to play them...he just makes up stuff as he plays. He's had a guitar for about 4 months now and he doesn't know any chords, in fact, he didn't know what a chord was when I brought it up that he should learn some chords.

JonG 10-04-2005 07:27 PM

Want me to send again Pink?

That's fine.

I'm surprised Convict Pool is actually getting around without me pushing it.

Never seemed that the Classic Rock regulars were too fond of it.

Heh, I thought you'd chime in when Convict Pool was being said.
