Oh man. I need to get a 1/4 and 3/4 converter... I was hoping I could do it tonight. I transcribed the Under the Bridge guitar intro to my bass (exact notes, same octave) and I was going to record that whole song on bass. Its one of my fave songs. Maybe tomorrow.

You could always use your computer microphone (assuming you have one) and record the sound from your amp.

I reformatted my computer and now whenever I try and play a cd, or listen to anything that has sound to it, I get the message that I have no audio hardware or that it is not responding. Can I download some for free, like at that site? or is it something I am going to have to buy?

Hardware isn't software. I think you might need to re-install your soundcard.

Software is programs and stuff. Hardware is stuff like the hard drive and CD drives.

I don't know anything about computers, but my dad is always preaching the hardware vs. software debate.

But wouldn't the computer automatically recognize the soundcard????

Here's an easy way to remember the difference between hardware and software:

Hardware is hard to get, and new hardware is usually very expensive.
Software can be gotten for free.

Simple.

Then you get into Freeware and Shareware, which is software for free!

I liked a Rockbass... I've not played a Spector in a while...

I just found out they make six string basses. Im getting a 6er withing the year. I like the Cort Curbow 6 the most, followed by an Ibanez BTB406, Spector legend 6, or maybe a Brice HBX406. Am i overlooking any?

actualy its a major thing in asia now. i think 1 in 3 ppl in Japan have it. there was a big epidemic in the american **** industry, somone went to south american and caught it andthen came back and was cast im a porno and spread it through there. so its a major thing

hey guys, whatsup, i got my bass back:D. and i talked to her about getting an amp for christmas. she said if i do good in school for one week straight, wihtout one complaint by one teacher. on friday at 330 shes going in to my school, and talkn to them, if they all say ive improved. the amp is mine. but i have to keep up my good behiavour and attitude till easter if i want to go to onondaga camp for a month this summer. anyways. i really need to change my act, whats happening?
jiggy, to record you need a 1/4 into 1/8 adapter. you can get them at radio shack for about 2 bucks.

i get about 1 phone call home aday, or a letter, or something. its pretty stupid, cause the teachers hold something against you for ever. so i just got to shutup, do my work, bring up some marks, change my attitude a little bit, and ill be getting an amp..
