This thread is far more useful than the stronghold. I have gotten a lot of good music and recommendations from it. Do not compare this thread to that thread.
Hence the word 'Kinda' :p

I don't think we can attack before knowing what he's talking about.

I don't think he knows what he's talking about Bartender.

Bartender 02-26-2005 11:56 PM

Hopefully my 600-odd contribution will counter any damage he may have done.

ArcLite 02-26-2005 11:56 PM

Just for a random somewhat musical toss in here, how does Dark Saga rank amongst other Iced Earth albums...

/Getting pretty drunk and still typing correct easily.
NP: Dimmu Borgir - Stormblast
Just finished a little Progenies myself. NP: Unearth - The Great Dividers.

Freezing Moon 02-27-2005 12:23 AM

It seems like everyone in my town is into metalcore/hardcore. That's pretty much all I heard at battle of the bands.

We have one sweet death metal band here though. They weren't in Battle of the Bands, but they were playing a show after it.

Permanent Solution 02-27-2005 12:25 AM

hardcore and ska summarizes my local scene, luckily I like both

ArcLite 02-27-2005 12:26 AM

Anyone else have any airsoft guns? I'm currently having fun with some in-room target practice. Fun little bastards.

Captain Jack Sparrow 02-27-2005 12:26 AM

The "scene" in my town is mostly hXc, screamo, metal, and rock.

Kingofdudes 02-27-2005 12:28 AM

Jason Mraz is where the scene is at here.

Captain Jack Sparrow 02-27-2005 12:29 AM

You guys need to post in my George Thorogood thread.

ArcLite 02-27-2005 12:29 AM

I don't think my scene has ever heard of a guitar. Sucks nuts.

Kingofdudes 02-27-2005 12:31 AM
You guys need to post in my George Thorogood thread.
Perhaps in the morning, I need to get in some Halo 2 before bed.

Anyone else have any airsoft guns? I'm currently having fun with some in-room target practice. Fun little bastards.
I've got a pistol, and a flatmate whose brothers are very much into airsoft. I've never played, though.

Dancin' Man 02-27-2005 12:31 AM

here, the scene is a crappy, crappy all girl pop punk band that is having lots of undue success. All the good bands (except mine :p) graduated last year.

ArcLite 02-27-2005 12:33 AM
I've got a pistol, and a flatmate whose brothers are very much into airsoft. I've never played, though.
I've got two semi-auto pistols. Me and my buddies set up a bunch of obstactles in our barracks hallway and have games. Its pretty damn fun.

Bartender 02-27-2005 12:35 AM

Well I have no actual ammo, plus the gun is kind of broken. It would still work though, I think. Regardless, it's fun to wave around the place.

Huber 02-27-2005 12:36 AM

The local bands in my area are actually some good. There's this band "Eternal Lie" that I like a lot. There kinda thrashy. There's a plethora of good hard rock bands that play in coffee shops. Best one is "Ded Art Oia"

The band I see around here getting the most success is this Psychobilly/Punk band "The Crypt". They really know what they're doing.

Permanent Solution 02-27-2005 12:40 AM

I think I'm going to go drink some arsenic and then go to bed.

Bartender 02-27-2005 12:44 AM

How much arsenic? Like, building-up-a-resistance arsenic?

Captain Jack Sparrow 02-27-2005 12:50 AM

I just injected a CO2 size canister of cyanide straight into my heart. I'm now invincia;lskdfj

Dancin' Man 02-27-2005 12:54 AM
