This AILD one is pretty good.

Chilly-Bean-Bop 08-11-2006 11:24 PM

Haha, that one was very funny.

THERE'S A MAILMAN ON THE TRACK!

Anyone who has Socratic's Lunch For The Sky, IM me immediately.

Has anyone seen Yella Face?

Its amazing.

I know pretty much the whole Trivium song, Pull Harder on the Strings of your Martyr. I've watched it so many times.

masada 08-11-2006 11:35 PM

Ew they try way to hard to sound like Metallica.

Why would anyone want to be that?

DJ Ducksauce 08-11-2006 11:36 PM

Haha wow. That's a lot of times.

Nick: Metallica ain't that bad. They have some good songs. But yeah, they're pretty overrated.

Chris: I might be able to get it sometime from another guy. I just requested it in another forum.

Chilly-Bean-Bop 08-11-2006 11:37 PM
Haha wow. That's a lot of times.

Haha, yeah.

My favorite part is: It's our coats, that make these wands out of Opeth! LAWL! Wing Ja? Kicking Smalveh's German sodomay-hay-hay!

funneh.

Mute Print 08-11-2006 11:38 PM

I just watched that Trivium thing, and immediately noticed that they sounded a lot like Metallica. I'd never actually heard Trivium before.

I don't remember that part.

Was it the Trivium II thing?

Chilly-Bean-Bop 08-11-2006 11:40 PM

Brian: Me neither.

I can't compare them to Metallica, I don't listen to them that much except for on the radio.

Justin: No, its in the middle of the first one.

Mute Print 08-11-2006 11:41 PM

I love Metallica. I'm not one of those people who thinks they're the greatest band ever, or anything, but I've liked them for a long time. I have like every album they've released.

DJ Ducksauce 08-11-2006 11:43 PM

oic

I don't have too much Metallica. Mostly singles and stuff.

Master of Puppets is great as is For Whom the Bell Tolls.

edit: Michelle Nolan has a great voice. :amaze:

Mute Print 08-11-2006 11:44 PM

I got into Metallica when I used to listen to the radio a lot. Seeing them live was awesome.

Chilly-Bean-Bop 08-11-2006 11:44 PM

I can't get into them.

I enjoy hearing them on the radio, but thats it.

BridgeToSolace 08-11-2006 11:44 PM

My guitarist is big into them.

It's the worst thing about him >_<

They're horrible.

PDWAB 08-11-2006 11:45 PM

I like Metallica a lot, but sometimes I'll be at the music store looking at music and smashed in with all of the classical and jazz repetoire there will be a book like "Learn to Play Drums!-- WITH METALLICA!" and I'll just like 'wtf!'

Mute Print 08-11-2006 11:45 PM

Trivium didn't sound that bad. For a Metallica rip-off band that is.

DJ Ducksauce 08-11-2006 11:47 PM

Haha, one of my good friends is into "screamo/hardcore" ie Trivium, A7X, AILD, etc

Mute Print 08-11-2006 11:48 PM

As I Lay Dying would be a step up from what some of my friends listen to.

Most of my friends are into mainstream rap.

PDWAB 08-11-2006 11:49 PM

I just watched Dave Chappelle's Block Party. It was pretty sweet.

DJ Ducksauce 08-11-2006 11:50 PM

The people who don't listen to Rap/hip-hop/radio music generally have ok tastes over here.

Most people in my English class knew Cute Without the 'E' when I brought that song to class during the poetry unit.

Ugh, rap is the worst.

masada 08-11-2006 11:52 PM

No way.

DJ Ducksauce 08-11-2006 11:53 PM

I used to like eminem.

A lot of his stuff isn't bad though.

I could probably do about 80%+ of Lose Yourself still.

Frail Words Collapse is a fun album!

Chilly-Bean-Bop 08-11-2006 11:53 PM

Actually rap AND country are the worst.

If you have lyrics that go, "She thinks my tractor's sexy," no, that's not cool.

Mute Print 08-11-2006 11:53 PM

Eminem is okay. I don't hate all rap, but I generally can't get into most of it.

I actually like AILD. I've seen them live twice.

DJ Ducksauce 08-11-2006 11:54 PM

Only exception for country is Willie Nelson.

He gets tons of respect++.

You actually AILD Bri?

If you like pina coladas....

PDWAB 08-11-2006 11:55 PM

If you want some amazing Rap, watch the Dave Chappelle thing. Basically all of the best socially conscious rappers perform and it's amazing.

Country is also great. Sure it might be cheesy, but they're all so sincere about it!
