Already been done, old bean. Saw a song where some girl was blowing 4 guys and each guy she blew had a different pitch.
Ah well, maybe we'll just make an amateur pornopera and try to sell it to Vivid.

karmapavementplan 07-28-2009 03:35 PM

That's the spirit. Even if it's amateur, please get a professional cameraman - nothing worse than amateur prawn camera work.

Except Blair Witch Project... or is that too dated a reference? How about Cloverfield, that's what you young kids watch, isn't it?

What's Cloverfield?

And I like the Reality Kings / Bang Bros style of amateur camera work.

I did want to shoot the sex scene with a highspeed camera though.

So I'm seeing a girl, and all is fine. But I just got back in touch with someone I used to go out with a few years ago. Not seen her for 2/3 years. And I realised I like her more ¬_¬

Are you confusing love/lust?

fatbandit 07-28-2009 04:32 PM

No. I don't love either of them.

FunkMetalBass 07-28-2009 04:36 PM
No. I don't love either of them.
Okay, "love" is too strong of a word. Are they legit feelings toward either girl, or are they lustful?

You owe it to the girl you're currently seeing to continue seeing her for a bit longer as the feelings toward girl #2 are likely temporary. If you still feel that way about girl #2, be honest and sincere about it to girl #1.

fatbandit 07-28-2009 04:54 PM

There's nothing wrong with girl #1. I just like girl #2 more. But she already dumped my ass once, hah. Leaving #1 for #2 then ending up with neither would be total lame.

There's no easy way round it except to play it by ear I think really.

FunkMetalBass 07-28-2009 04:57 PM
There's no easy way round it except to play it by ear I think really.
Yep. That's my usual approach to women, music, and cooking.

gaslight 07-28-2009 09:14 PM

Keep doing #1, find out if you can do #2, if you can, do them both, if you can't, stay with #1.

*Shrugs*.

Seems to be how the world works.

sounds like pretty sound advice to me.

gaslight 07-28-2009 10:47 PM

I know it sounds horrible but you may as well do it to the world before the world does it to you.
I know it sounds horrible but you may as well do it to the world before the world does it to you.
That's not horrible; it's true.
There's nothing wrong with girl #1. I just like girl #2 more. But she already dumped my ass once, hah. Leaving #1 for #2 then ending up with neither would be total lame.

Why is this a problem?

Personally, if I don't like the girl I'm with - I leave them. There are a billion others ready to take their place, it isn't hard to find. And even then, it's not like I "need" a woman in my life at all times. Absolutely not.

If #2 has dumped you already, you simply do not go back. It is that simple. Never do that under any circumstances. If you do that you are weak, pathetic, and childish. Women do not respond to or like that kind of behavior. They respect strength and integrity.

Your integrity and self-worth are all you really have in this world. Keep them before and above all else.

funkyhoney 07-29-2009 12:07 AM

Yeah going back to someone who dumped you is 99% of the time a bad move. What makes it even worse is if you're the one asking to be taken back as opposed to them weeping over a mistake.

That's what my most recent ex is like, she ran off back to her old boyfriend because she didn't realise he was a douchebag and now expects me to be waiting with open arms when it all goes to ****.

Don't think so.

Epidemechanical 07-29-2009 12:11 AM

Yeah no. Absolutely not. There are enough weak men in this world. We don't need more.

BenJammin 07-29-2009 07:03 AM

Fucking her once more is cool, though.

gaslight 07-29-2009 07:21 AM

Nope, make her beg then tell her to **** off. Infinitely more satisfying.

Between the three of us... we could give someone the illusion of being a fully functioning human being!

Yes, right up until this post.

Now you could barely pass for half of a Kramer.

need new job

FunkMetalBass 07-29-2009 01:04 PM

need new FX pedals and power supply

fatbandit 07-29-2009 01:28 PM

Don't start buying pedals. Its just a slippery slope :/

Epidemechanical 07-29-2009 01:33 PM

lol i miss all my pedals

then i realize no i dont

fatbandit 07-29-2009 01:40 PM

I have far too many. But I wouldn't want to cut them down and economise. I'd want to get rid of all of them or none of them.

Epidemechanical 07-29-2009 01:53 PM

nah i actually do miss them. the whammy the most, probably. I used it one last time on a song i recently did called prototype, then ditched it.

BenJammin 07-29-2009 01:56 PM

The only effect I ever regularly used on my multi-effects was reverb.

Epidemechanical 07-29-2009 01:58 PM

you're not a NIN ripoff though ben i need all the electronics i can get

BenJammin 07-29-2009 02:01 PM

Lol, I wish. I need to get my guitar working.

Just make one like Jack White.
I have far too many. But I wouldn't want to cut them down and economise. I'd want to get rid of all of them or none of them.
Once I get a power supply, I can keep all my pedals plugged in and start fudging around with chains and different sounds and see what I like and don't like. If this trade goes through, my current pedal setup will consist of:

Boss Bass Overdrive
Wasabi Echo/Delay
Boss Tremolo
Boss Chorus
Digitech Grunge
BBE Green screamer
Boss Flanger
Boss Acoustic Simulator
Slash's Crybaby Wah
70's Morley Vol

I know I'll be keeping the chorus, delay, and grunge as I love each of them and really hope to be able to use them in my current band.

The vol pedal will most definitely be going because it's just too damn big.

I have to play around with rest on bass and guitar before I make a decision about whether or not I want to keep them.

fatbandit 07-29-2009 02:16 PM

My volume pedal takes up HUGE amounts of room. But I do use it. I'd miss it. Play with it with some delay afterwards. See if you change your mind.
My volume pedal takes up HUGE amounts of room. But I do use it. I'd miss it. Play with it with some delay afterwards. See if you change your mind.
I've gone through too many 9V batteries in the past 2 weeks to bother connecting any pedals right now.

My vol pedal is standard pedal length, but about 6" wide and 4" tall when fully "on." This thing is so old that it has a power cord built into it.

fatbandit 07-29-2009 03:06 PM

buy a onespot. right now.

also, listen to glassjaw.

I found a pedal power (PP1, I'm guessing) on craigslist for $50. Should I go for the onespot instead?

also, glassjaw?

FunkMetalBass 07-29-2009 03:36 PM

I just listened to "Ape Dos Mil" and meh. It's okay, but not something I could really listen to.

Check out:

The Dear Hunter
Portugal, The Man
BenJammin 07-29-2009 04:00 PM

Portugal. The Man is sweet, man. I'm going to order a copy of their newest once I get the dough (well, I have the money, but I just bought 6 albums recently, so I'm trying to pace myself).

fatbandit 07-29-2009 05:12 PM

Dear Hunter and Portugal are both bands I've listened to but never really fallen madly in love with. For Glassjaw, you really need to check out something like Lovebites and Razorlines (and check the tone in that bass break ^_^) or Hotel of the While Locust. That first album is some seminal post-hardcore right there.

Also just found out what gear their bass player was using for that recording session, so I'm going to go have a fiddle with my pedals and amp and see how close I can get :p
