I got the new A Breath Before Surfacing album, its good, but so is 500 other deathcore bands, so it doesn't stand out.

By the way, I finally checked out Veil of Maya, and they're pretty tight. New Beneath the Sky sucks even harder than the previous one, and the new All Shall Perish songs stomp...they're so good.

Oh, and against everyone's advice, I checked out Winds of Plague, and they're ****ing horrible, as are The Acacia Strain.

the drum machine sucks very much, which deters from the music quite a bit. since deathcore as a genre is 75% about appearances, the production just doesnt cut it altogether.

instrumentally, theyre pretty spectacular

and idk, ive listened to them to the point where i can differentiate between songs and such, i dont find them boring

but i see why people do

They're definitely proficient musicians. I used to be a HUGE BtM fan, but over time and about 30 tech death/deathcore bands later, I kinda got bored.

Don't get me wrong, I love deathcore, I just have a short attention span. I think All Shall Perish is the only deathcore band that I don't get sick of after a while. I need a break from some of the bands sometimes.
