i think i have. are they kinda poppy? kinda funky too (not funk, but funky)? and they use an acoustic guitar? i've only heard one song.
Yeah. A bizarre combination of Jamiroquai, Postal Service-ish synthy/poppy songs, and Strokes guitars. <3 |
Get a HH Bongo. Sexy bass. Plays like a dream.
There's a flaw in your sentence. The word "sexy." |
There's a flaw in your sentence.
The word "sexy."
Haha. You know it's true. |
That Peavey 6er.
Cool, it looked like a good bass. How much did you get it for? lowsound |
Haha. You know it's true.
I will agree that they play amazing and that they sound amazing... but I just can't concede to the point that they're attractive. |
I have tried to drink it on multiple occasions in the hopes that it would, magically, taste better, but that never happened, so I don't even look at it anymore.
Being extremely parched and having only that water in the room is horrid. :(
yeah I just grabbed it because it was in the fridge and all the large glasses are in my room. |
I love the look.
If they made a Bong sixer, oh lord. |
I love the look.
If they made a Bong sixer, oh lord.
I heard rumours on TB that there's a Bongo 6er in development for 2007. |
AJIRAOIOHIEAewaoihagoihQWPO'TIHARE;OIQEYOIEY29043 EJWKE!!!!!
If that is true, I would be so happy. |
Has anybody checked the EB forums? I'll check now.

If that is true, I would be so happy.
Yeah... it probably isn't. And it still wouldn't make them any more attractive. |
Cool, it looked like a good bass. How much did you get it for?
lowsound
MIM P+Eh Bassballs and Small Clone+Wah+150$. Fair deal, not a steal or anything, just fair. |

Oh vector imaging...
I'd rather have a different 6er. |
oshi

I deserve some rep for that. I don't think they look that great. I wonder how it would feel
|
Jesus I am excited. If this is true.
Of course for the money that it would cost I could probably almost get a Chapman Stick. Decisions, decisions. |
I deserve some rep for that. I don't think they look that great. I wonder how it would feel
They don't look great with 4 or 5 strings. Why would they look good with 6? :p |
How much do sticks run?
|
I never said they look great as a 4 or 5 although that dargie delight bongo look pretty good
|
They don't look great with 4 or 5 strings. Why would they look good with 6? :p
they will probably get an even uglier pick guard for it to! i mean the pickguard on the 4 is cool, but the 5 is just weird, so the 6 is probably going to curl up and wrap around the strings |
How much do sticks run?
A new 10 string (classic size) runs $1900 with the most basic pickup. The biggest probablem with buying a Stick is that Emmett Chapman makes them by hand in batches, so you could easily not see your Stick for a year after you order it. |

Probably. I hate the 5 string pickgaurd. |
$1900, holy crap.

 |
i just jammed with my band tonight, and i had a jam of inspiration, it was wonderful
|
He doesn't make them by hand, he's just too busy playing warcraft to turn on the machine.
|
$1900, holy crap.
Yeah, they are expensive. From what I hear they are worth it, they seem very high-quality. When you consider they are custom instruments, the price doesn't seem so bad. The problem is that it's not like you can just go to GC and try one out. |

I've always wondered why I've never actually seen one while I've seen like tons of people who are in love with them, but I guess the price explains that. |
I like the way the bongo looks without a pickguard, plus the colour is intresting

Slayer - Indian Christian Group Recall and Ban 'Christ Illusion'
posted on Oct 09 2006 07:45 pm Mumbai-based EMI Virgin India Ltd said Friday (Oct. 6) it will recall all copies of the new SLAYER album "Christ Illusion" following protests by a Christian group, Mumbai-based Catholic Secular Forum (CSF). Early this week, Joseph Dias, general secretary of CSF, issued a statement taking "strong exception" to the album's cover artwork, which he said depicts "Christ with a missing eye and amputated arms." He added, "we also condemn the track, 'Skeleton Christ' as the lyrics are an insult to Christianity." The CSF also sent a memorandum to Mumbai's police commissioner, adding that the album "will affect the sensibilities of the Muslims on the track 'Jihad' and secular Indians who have respect for all faiths." Kaveri Khullar, marketing manager, EMI India said in an interview, "We met with the CSF and were apologetic while assuring them that all copies of the album would be pulled out. We have no plans of re-issuing it in any way." The "Christ Illusion" album had been on the shelves for only a week. Khullar did not confirm the number of units released only stating, "There weren't too many that we launched anyway." The CSF had earlier protested against the Indian release of "The Da Vinci Code" which led the Censor Board to instruct the India distributor, Mumbai-based Sony Pictures Releasing India, to include a notice to accompany the film to explain that it was a work of fiction. F'n n00bs, when will modernity become post-modern to the East? |

Indeed. For now it remains a dream. |
Gottdammit Google is following through with their devourment of Youtube. :(

I'm a Christian, but I don't get why they are getting all pissy about an album cover and a Slayer song. If Slayer fans don't know that Slayer is against Christianity by now, something is wrong with them.
And on the Da Vinci code.... who really cares? It's a book! Does it matter if Jesus was married? No. Besides, if a fiction book can shake the roots of a 2000 year old religion, then something is definately wrong with that too. |
I want one of those bongo 6ers.

By knowing just the basics about the bible you can point a lot of faults in it. lowsound |
The Bible is a book too. ;)
Not looking for a fight, anyway I'm outta here. Gotta read for class tomorrow. |
