Actually, it has. A speculative fiction is a badas's song. Believe it or not, I own all three of the other albums, (how to clean, less talk, and potemkin city limits) but I don't have today's empires yet, even though everyone says it's their best. I'll get it soon though.

This cover is on a Ralph Records released sampler sort of thing called Potatoes. Yesterday I was listening to "American Roots" on NPR, and I heard the original (or closer to how it usually sounds) of this song. I insisted it was on the compilation, but my family disagreed. Turns out I'm right and I win.

This is probably my favorite song on the compilation, other than The Residents and Negativland stuff.
