All I know about Mastodon is that they're really good at naming songs, albums, and themselves. The actual music is apparently not that special though, so :-/ to them.
|
Mastodon are a great band, and you know it. You just don't want to admit to liking them or even allow yourself to like them because they are popular and overhyped.
It's a mutiny! Jumpo ship momma, jump ship! |

I just love how you seem to have an opinion on so many of the bands you've never listened to. |
Don't believe everything you read my type, Yd.
|
There is no "seem to," I DO have an opinion of bands that I've never heard of. But I was just talking about the names, so it doesn't really matter.
And I will be digging the CD after school is over and I can go home and listen to my brother's copy of it.
Don't believe everything you read my type, Yd.
I don't understand. Is there a typo somewhere in this quote? |
Yes, "my" should be "me."
|
Remission > Leviathan.

It's a mutiny! Jumpo ship momma, jump ship!
I acutally checked them out because they were suppose to be good. And they are horrible samey metal. They suck. |
Samey metal? You obviously don't listen to much of the stuff do ya'?
I'm not saying that they're the best or my favourite metal band, but you'd be hard pressed to find a band even slightly similar to the 'Don. |
Lately I've been listening to a lot of Beastie Boys, Jurassic 5, Sigur Ros and At The Drive-In.

Atmosphere - God Loves Ugly Jurassic 5 - Quality Control Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights Fugazi - In On The Kill Taker Fugazi - Repeater + 3 Songs The Clash - London Calling |
My favorite part of Zappa is his inexplicable hatred for seemingly random bands, as if they killed his mother and raped his father. And left the milk out on the counter, where it spoiled in very much the same manner that experience spoils innocence or mosquitoes spoil a pleasant evening walk through the woods.
Reminds me of me in my younger days. Don't mind me, it's been a long day, filled with fever and lack of sleep and 13 hours of college. It also included the diggin' of Jesu and Pixies and HORSE The Band and Olivia Tremor Control. |
I wish I hadn't missed the Mastodon debate :(
Mastodon rule and anyone who says they suck is a closeminded idiot. :thumb: I like the slow song by Maroon 5, 'She Will Be Loved' or something. It's nice.
First two PJ Harvey albums. "Dress" is my favorite song at the moment.
That's my favourite PJ song. Anyway, diggage: Belle and Sebastian Pavement Lykathea Aflame Blink 182 |
Depeche Mode. 'Violator' and 'Music for the Masses' especially.
