I met a lot of wankers when I was a chef, it's a profession that seem to attract a lot of aggressive guys with a chip on their shoulder who act like they are superior to everyone. I knew if I stuck around in that job for long, i'd probably wind up a bitter old man cause all the people I met who had been in the game for a while that weren't the fuckheads always felt trodden on and dead inside. all the shit rises to the top

i happen to be able to appreciate most everything that comes my way in a way which enriches my experience but i dont think that says anything about the nature of the world, only the nature of myself. people dont upset me but i also probably have slight detachment issues. i dont think there are evil people, i dont hate people except when i find it to be a pleasant exercise

i'm certain that things are going to happen the way theyre going to happen and that nothing is really meant by it

meanwhile there are things which i know through experience to be self-justifying and roughly how to pursue them
