HeRoOfThEdAy1589 05-31-2004 08:27 AM

what member of Metallica couldnt they afford to lose....i think they cant lose Lars.in one of the SKOM movie preview, lars said he was prepared for the worse and he wouldnt be surprised if hetfeild quite(note that this was two years ago when james was in rehab)..so maybe metallica could go on with metallica without james(but thats just too hard to imagine).but i really think the band would break up if Lars were to leave. So who do u think they cant lose in the band?

not they any of the members want to leave.**knock on wood**

Kage 05-31-2004 09:14 AM

It seems to me that plenty have wanted to leave in the past

thelonelyloser 05-31-2004 09:15 AM

i thought theyve all wanted to leave, and i think that metallica wouldnt be metallica anymore if any of them left

Kreator 05-31-2004 09:16 AM
Are you gonna keep that account?
yeah :)

^^^ they can't lose james, because without him metallica wouldn't be metallica anymore.
Good to have you back squirrel
Cheers bruv' good to be back :)

From a while back - the best outro for me it the Call of Ktulu.

It just hits me everytime, the chords picked slower and slower and on hte last chord how he strums it one last time then the drums begin to roll and the tension builds the wham!, the distortion kicks back in the all of a sudden theres that quick slide and it's all over...

It's just such a contrast, its so effective.

HeRoOfThEdAy1589 05-31-2004 10:17 AM

hetfeild and ulrich..come on i mean they made the band they couldnt leave. It would suck though if they lost kirk, but if they did they can always go and get dave mustain  and theyve always gotten a new bass player<<thats pretty obvious. Yeah, metallica cant live without james and lars

Squirrel 05-31-2004 10:19 AM

I hope if one of Kirk, Lars or James left that they'd disband. It just wouldn't be right having anyone but them in.

HeRoOfThEdAy1589 05-31-2004 10:20 AM

Yeah, metallica cant live without james and lars

jame OR lars******

Squirrel 05-31-2004 10:23 AM

Or Kirk, it wouldn't be Metallica otherwise.

I'm getting sad about sometime in the future when Metallica release their disbanding statement :(

HeRoOfThEdAy1589 05-31-2004 10:25 AM

where did "the ecstacy of gold" come from?i know theyve had that for a verrryyy loonngg time. but did they wright it?i would think so

Squirrel 05-31-2004 10:27 AM

No they didnt write it, its from *The Good, the Bad and the Ugly*, its written by Ennio Morichone ( i think thats the spelling ). He did a lot of spaggheti western music and won lots of awards for his work.

jonty 05-31-2004 10:47 AM

To me James is the face of the band. No one would care about Rob beacuse the onle album he did was aparently the 'worst one ever' accorinding to many fans.

Squirrel 05-31-2004 10:50 AM

Rob hasn't written anything with Metallica you know..

Rob seems like a better and more active bass player than Newsted, but not as good as Burton was. On the St. Anger DVD Rob had a pretty good grove with the band, and I'll think he'll do good for Metallica's next album :) .

Burdcheese 05-31-2004 12:24 PM

Ennio Morricone. The Man is a genius.

Baodegoth 05-31-2004 12:32 PM

It would be the best song on St anger but it wouldnt fit at all, and they would have had to go out of there way to tune up there guitars to play it
