Sweet, just got my ticket for AM! and Crime In Stereo in Melbourne, saw them last June and it was a solid show, looking forward to it and CiS should be OK too.
Anyone know if Crime In Stereo is any good live? I have a few loose tracks on my computer but haven't heard all that much else. |
i'm seeing against me! in a couple of months at the garage in london. it's just down the road from where i live, but it's been shut for over a year and a half (since just after i moved to this area) which sucks. but i definitely can't wait to see the band, they are one of my all time favourite ever bands to see live.
Hey is their any chance you could pick me up a Stop 7" there if i send you the cash and an SAE? |
i was listening to the radio in my mates car today and the matey said 'and here's against me with the song think' (i think it was called) and it started with some shitty electronic indie so i was like surely this can't be THE against me... and then tom gable's unmistakable vocals kicked in with some awful lyrics, and i sat there for about ten minutes wondering what must've gone wrong

Take some time to think. |
The regular version of Sink, Florida, Sink (non acoustic) is my favorite by them. They make amazing music are are killer live

I belive you're thinking of Stop, but that starts out with a dance beat and vocals; no electronics. Unless it was a remix or something lame... |
So.. what do you guys think of the recorded version of Gypsy Panther?
I was a little mislead by the acoustic version in that video. |

that's the boy. STOP! TAKE SOME TIME TO THINK! THINK ABOUT WHATS IMPORTANT TO YOU! YOU GOTTA MAKE IN IMPORTANT DECISION! or some bullshit |
I was listening to some AM! today and I realized that the lyrics to "Pints of Guiness Make You Strong" are pretty awesome. Makes me appreciate the song a lot more.
|
The lyrics are the first thing I noticed. Everything up to and kind of including ATEC is fantastic, except maybe some of the really early stuff which doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
|
Yeah the first thing that stood out to me was the part where he's like "If I would have known just how things would've ended up, I just would've let myself die." Pretty intense.
|
That line always bothered me because "If I would have known" makes no sense whatsoever. I get what he means and I love it, but that line, grammatically, bothers me so much.
|
"If I would have known" is grammatically sound...
|
Well ****. It's the second part. "If I would have known just how things would've ended up..." Should be "things would end up".
Boy is my face red. |

my favorite lyrics, only rivaled by "Beginning in an Ending" |
i'm gutted, against me in london has been "upgraded" to islington academy, the worst venue ever. even the best bands have bad shows there. however, the steal are supporting so it evens out the badness for me
|
Nuclear Cowboys actually gave me hope that some of the old spirit is still alive. Amputations kind of shrunk that hope.
|
God that song was so predictable. And his voice is horrid.
Agreed. It's exactly the same stuff that's on New Wave. |
cliche, word is you have some audio?
|
Watch out, Johnny RIAA here is looking to obtain some "bootlegs."
|
Word on the net is that I can score some fresh bootleg mp3/wma/ac4 media files here!
|
i saw them a couple nights ago in london. probably my favourite live band ever. wow. i love them
|
i just realised they're playing the rock am ring in june which i have tickets for woop woop!
|
They're playing next week.
I hope they'll finally play the songs I've never seen them play yet, like I Still Love You Julie and Those Anarcho Punx Are Mysterious. |
I saw them last month, and the only song that they play off of Axl was pints of guinness.
|

Lame. Last time I saw them they played mainly New Wave stuff (before it came out), and it was quite boring. |
