Now the tricks finding a place with all of these cymbals....
|
haha yeah, perhaps you could get your shop to order in a few models to test out?
|
hi-hats for playing metal (can take a beating) that sound good played open. Preferably Sabain.
|
New Beats
....oh you said Sabian? Well then, that makes things different..... .....yeah, New Beats. |
I dont meen ju7st riding the crash in breakdowns, just harder parts in any type of music usually ride the crash...

14'' HHX Groove hats(they pwn new beats IMO) |
^^^ Thats a negative.
|
Ive tried New Beats before, nice, but just havnt relized why their anonymously the best hi hat according to the boards?
|
Because you can take them to a trash metal gig and then take them to a jazz gig and they'll fit in both situations.
new beats > chad smith > jesus. |

new beats > chad smith > jesus.
What if you only play Polka Trash Metal? ( Or one type of music ) 10 Recording Customs for the win. ( Or something along the lines ) |
Well i'm sure they'll fit their too (I'd really like to see a polka thrash* metal band)
|
AAX stage hats. They can do anything.

They are verstale that is all. But UFIP Class hats pawn them hands down :) |

they're not everyone's favorite. i had them in my school last year for jazz band, and of course, they were great hats, i simply prefer the HHX Groove Hats, because they are also very versitile(and come in 15'' w/o any of the worries of customizing and ****). Seafroggys, however, masturbates to the tought of his new beats most every night, so in his eyes the only hats that deserve to be in existance are new beats |
Does anybody have a Zildjian A 21" Ping ride.If so could you tell me aobut what it sounds like or could take some audio of it.And is $150 Cdn. a good deal for one thanks.
|
Yes, great deal. My 22" cost about $240 CND (new).
I love this ride, to me, it has the perfect balance of strong metalic ping, and deep, roaring wash. You can shank it and let out like a shriek of a sound, I love doing that. The bell is a tank, great bell. Heavy, with force behind it when you shoulder it. It's such an overpowering sound, you can feel it when you belt out quarters on it. |
I wish I had a 21" ping ride, unfortunantly they aren't in existance, they only make 20 or 22s.
I have the 20" model, and Plan B's description is quite fitting. Killer bell. I got mine for 400 AUS (new), have no idea how much that is CND. |
Okay I sent him an e-mail so I will see what I can do.Hopefully I can get it.

shhhh! thats our little secret! |
shhhh! thats our little secret!
hahah but i gotta be honest, my drum teacher got some new beats today, and put them in a small little crammed room where i have lessons....to be honest....the sound wanted to make me kill babies |
that explains why my closet is full of desecrated baby corpses recently.
|
Bobby, i need a replacement for my 16" AA El Sabor. I loved that baby to death, but she cracked on the rim when i dropped it. what can you recommend for me?
|
that explains why my closet is full of desecrated baby corpses recently.
probably, but once i get my HHX groove hats all those babies will be ressurected, so don't feel too bad about the slaughtering...just don't eat the dead babies, believe me, u don't want a case of TBS(tasty baby syndrome) |
So I just email the guy back in I can get the Ping Ride for $125.00 now!
|
I thought the Zildjian A Ping ride didnt project enough, I like the A custom Ping or Zildjian A sweet ride

Paiste 14" Signature SoundEdge hats. Best hats ever created tbh. |
Ok I'm looking for another splash, I already have a 10" Stagg Myra and a 10" Radia an I was looking at getting a 8". I want something bright and cutting so I was thinking about an A or A custom, but any other suggestions that you guys have would be apprieciated.

AA. |
what is an alternative to the paiste signature line and (this is less important) the dark energy ride
|
The sigs are kind of like A Customs, and the dark sigs I guess can be related to K Customs/HHX.
Remember though Paiste cymbals are created in a totally different way to Zildjian, Sabian and Turkish cymbals. Instead of creating a "blank" cymbal, which gets sorted by weight and then turned into whatever cymbal, Paiste start with the end cymbal in mind and create the "blank" to match it. Paiste cymbals are also designed so that any 18" power crash will sound like any other 18" power crash, unlike other cymbal companies where each cymbal will have its own voice, so you could get 2 medium crashes and they would sound just a little bit different. So yeah Paiste are in a league of their own. |
