AG 08-30-2006 09:08 AM

I don't like them.

onetwo3 08-30-2006 10:40 AM

I've never heard any of their songs!
And yes crack whore sweat more

Psychology was so much fun today, we got put into groups and we've got a presentation to do for next week.
Ours group's doing Freud
And we're going to do a slide show with funny photos and stuff explaining:
The Oral Complex
The Anal Complex
The Phallic Complex... etc etc...

Should be fun! rofl

Jev 08-30-2006 11:33 AM

When was that 2004?

PAJJ 08-30-2006 12:02 PM
I saw them at Leeds.

Worst.

Band.

Ever.
nah that honour probably went to KSE, or the artic monkeys, but i missed mastadon so i can't really comment, i did want to get up and see them, but it took me awhile to get moving sunday mornign :-/

Jev 08-30-2006 12:07 PM

KSE would be pretty good without that Adam guy.

Patrick O))) 08-30-2006 12:08 PM

I'd have considered getting a day ticket to have seen them, but they were playing first thing in the middle of the day, which doesn't suit any band.

I'm going to see 'em on tour

PAJJ 08-30-2006 12:11 PM
KSE would be pretty good without that Adam guy.
i dunno, i wasn't impressed, seemed very generic, and i'm always totally put off by bands that say stuff like:
"i ****ed everyone of you mothers last night, then set her head alight and passed her around like the olympic torch"
ugh

Patrick O))) 08-30-2006 12:14 PM

I kind've went along with the whole Kilswitch thing a bit ago, but I listened to that one album once I think. I really don't think very highly of them at all.

It's all very good, but there's nothing to it

Jev 08-30-2006 12:15 PM

The frontman's pretty cool, it's just the guitarist.
That's why he's expendable.

PAJJ 08-30-2006 12:18 PM

i got put of by the screaming, i gave end of the heart ache or something a listen and i couldn't get into the vocals, i'm alright to watch someone live usually, it's usually a lot cleaner anyway, but in general i just don't like it, i think it sounds ****.

happy: ah i figured it was the frontman spouting all that crap, i'll let him off then :)

Jev 08-30-2006 12:55 PM

If it was at the Unholy Alliance tour, then I missed them because I got in late :o

onetwo3 08-30-2006 01:16 PM

/twangs on the strum box

I'm reading loads of facts about Tool, they're really interesting:

"As Keenan explains in his commentary on A Perfect Circle's aMOTION DVD, Judith suffered a stroke that left her partially paralyzed and wheelchair-bound. The two-part song, "Wings for Marie", is an opus dedicated to her. The length of time between the paralysis and her death was 27 years, or approximately 10,000 days"

Patrick O))) 08-30-2006 01:23 PM

Apparently a guy I used to work with at the restaurant has died :(

onetwo3 08-30-2006 01:26 PM

Oh, I'm really sorry to hear that Pat :(

Did you know him well?

Patrick O))) 08-30-2006 01:29 PM

Fairly well. Never went out after work or anything, and he could be a bit of an arse, but he was mostly cool nonetheless

Possibly suicide as well, from what I've heard

onetwo3 08-30-2006 01:32 PM

Woah.
Those sort of things always come as a shock, even if you don't know the person that well...

Patrick O))) 08-30-2006 01:39 PM

Yeah

I'm fairly indifferent to it though, but that's normal for me. Either I don't see death as an issue or I've yet to be really affected by it

Ma is though. She was the one who told me. I think she's also suggesting I go to the funeral, but I don't know

onetwo3 08-30-2006 01:49 PM

Yeah I know it was like that for me. I never really had any feelings with death until someone close to me died.
Everyone is different.

It's up to you if you go or not. You don't have to talk to anyone. Just sitting in the church and showing your respect for the person just by being there is what alot of people do.

Patrick O))) 08-30-2006 01:54 PM

Aye

I probably will go, I don't think I'm working

Mexican Bandito 08-30-2006 02:06 PM

Okay :)

yay zowe's back!

Jev 08-30-2006 02:17 PM

Welcome back.

Sorry to hear about that Patrick.

PAJJ 08-30-2006 03:33 PM

i got my ipod back today, it's all shiny and new, and more importantly works :D

/awaits ipod bashing

Jev 08-30-2006 03:35 PM

Yeah, it works now, won't in a month or two.

PAJJ 08-30-2006 03:37 PM

well i don't want to say why, there might be apple spies watching, but lets just say it didn't break of it's own accord <_<

Jev 08-30-2006 03:41 PM

Get angry at it?

ChodaBoy 08-30-2006 03:43 PM

Looked at it?

PAJJ 08-30-2006 03:44 PM

yeah, why not.....

np - different world

Jev 08-30-2006 03:53 PM

i'd send mine back and tell them to keep it.

PAJJ 08-30-2006 03:57 PM

good for you, mine was perfectly fine till i spilled coke on it, took it to a gig, and dropped it down the tube stairs in the same day. Plus my sisters had hers for like 2 years and nothings been wrong with it, i actually don't personally know anyone who's had theirs break, only heard about it from people on the net :-/

ChodaBoy 08-30-2006 04:00 PM

Really, not all iPods break, its just a case of millions of sales, so of course you will hear bad things about them.

The same goes for Microsoft products, you cant sell as many products as they do, and expect them all to work perfect

PAJJ 08-30-2006 04:04 PM

the hulks back, awesome

ChodaBoy 08-30-2006 04:07 PM

I did it for all the hulkamaniacs, BROTHER

PAJJ 08-30-2006 04:10 PM

FVG27 08-30-2006 04:12 PM

'Ello my chickens.

ChodaBoy 08-30-2006 04:14 PM

PAJJ 08-30-2006 04:18 PM

FVG27 08-30-2006 04:32 PM

PAJJ 08-30-2006 04:39 PM

Dead Star 08-30-2006 04:48 PM
I love the Hulkamaniac rap, its the epitemy (sp?) of cheesey-ness.
There was a guy dressed as Hulk Hogan standing next to me watching Gogol Bordello at Leeds.

He shouted "WHATCHA GONNA DO BROTHER" when I took a photo of him :p

Mexican Bandito 08-30-2006 04:49 PM

I know where you're coming from Josh, I get picked on when there's a spider anywhere near me.
There was one on the landing a few weeks back and I refused to walk past it until my dad moved it - he shouted at me alot :(

I'm watching the remake of Vanishing Point just now it's pretty crap! The acting is terrible.

How's Em getting along? Anymore BSB covers coming up?
'mwhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaa'
