Oh snap! Way to put me in my place :thumb:

Did ya get my monkey?

Janeway 04-13-2006 08:43 PM

No.
I've been on this since computer since 3:00, and now it's 10:36, but I've been too damn lazy to sign into my MSN. Hmm.

Ming-a-Ling 04-13-2006 08:48 PM

You don't even have to sign in to MSN...you just have to check your email.

Janeway 04-13-2006 09:11 PM

Yeah, but signing into MSN is easier.

samsamthegiantman 04-13-2006 09:13 PM

I'm going to a Modest Mouse concert this Fall. It will be quite the ownage.

Janeway 04-13-2006 09:19 PM

Wow.
The singer from Ska-P does that lisp thing from Spain.
I thought they were mexicans.

samsamthegiantman 04-13-2006 09:26 PM

The singer from Modest Mouse has a lisp. :)

Janeway 04-13-2006 09:28 PM

It's cute sometimes.

samsamthegiantman 04-13-2006 09:33 PM

And can occasionally be badass.

White 04-13-2006 09:33 PM

Janeway 04-13-2006 09:37 PM

Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag!

milkmit 04-13-2006 09:38 PM

sweet! I saw em last summer.....and they actually played a LOT of their old stuff (in addition to nearly every song on 'good news').. was a pretty good show.. two drummers, too (no clue if jeremiah was one of them)!

milkmit 04-13-2006 09:39 PM

oh, and I just got in from GC. I picked up stanton moore's 'take it to the street: a modern approach blah blah blah'.

jealous, yes? :)

In the middle of Interstate 8, Isaac starts singing, "Do you got a knife?" Then, he grabs a knife and starts to cut himself. He's a crazy man.

We Prefer "Fruit" haha jk, I'm no fag lol.

hmm, that's weird.. I just thought they kinda sucked live haha.. not really, but even though I LOVE them (duh) and love isaac's voice and style of singing, it's just not really fit for a live show. it was still an awesome time and an overall great show, but considering how awesome their recorded stuff is, it could have been better...

at least he didn't pull a cat power. last two out of three times I saw her, she didn't even finish the show. :/ she'd sing half a song, b!tch about her mic, her piano, her guitar's tuning....anything she can find to b!tch about.. start a song, stop it...start again, get bored and start singing the chorus of another.. then "sorry sorry sorry!" and she's off the stage. ugh.

When'd they release tour dates?

Is it on their site?

Futuro 04-13-2006 09:59 PM

I like Modest mouse, Although I prefer the cd The Moon & Antarctica to anything else they have done.

White 04-13-2006 10:00 PM

I like The Lonesome Crowded West compared to everything else.

milkmit 04-13-2006 10:18 PM

I like 'this is a long drive for someone with nothing to think about' compared to everything else.

milkmit 04-13-2006 10:19 PM

but lately, I've been realllllly digging 'building nothing out of something', particularly because of the drumming.. the stuff in 'interstate 8', 'a life of arctic sounds', and 'other people's lives' is just bloody awesome.

milkmit 04-13-2006 10:22 PM

damn, stanton's awesome to watch play... he's so damn good it makes me sick.

The Fiction We Live 04-13-2006 10:27 PM

Panopticon 04-13-2006 10:34 PM

The Fiction We Live 04-13-2006 10:37 PM
i'm trying out a 40-day masturbation fast but im about to crack...no way i'll make it...i'm on day 5.
eek, why bother?!

I held out for about 2 days, specifically for teh girl I'm seeing. I let her know and everything, and when I stayed at her place for the grand finale, she kinda lost interest as soon as she got hers... I was pissed, and she paid for it with lack of cuddlage guahaha! but she made it up to me in the morning, soooo.. :)

milkmit 04-13-2006 10:41 PM

damn, this dvd is about 4 years ahead of me...... :/
I feel like I'm getting NOTHING out of it, except for some serious amazement....

EDIT: why can't these things come with a small printed guide with all of the beats they're showing? or, at the VERY least, throw a quick graphic on the screen showing what it is they're playing. I can't follow this stuff just by watching! ugh.

Corkofski 04-14-2006 02:19 AM

gah
halfway up a cliff is a stupid place to spend the night.
my eyes are fill of sand and dirt, and i didnt sleep at all...

sweet_nothings 04-14-2006 02:26 AM

It sounds like a splendid place to spend the night to me.

At one camp, me and 4 other girls slept outside in sleeping bags. It was really nice, being the country side. But I'd eaten all the green M&Ms (they're supposed to be an aphrodisiac, I was testing the theory) so I sat up half the night talking about "lesbanims".

Drum Phil 04-14-2006 05:46 AM

More proof that Mr. Corke is at the bottom of the food chain :p
