Loving every minute of it. I've put nearly 2000 miles on it already. However, the ever cooling air is starting to hamper time I can ride now. Even with warm clothes on, at 60 mph it's quite cold. It's supposed to get decently warm next week, though.

Working in a mainstream music shop would suck.

Like Working in a chain bookshop sucked

Jom 11-26-2005 02:52 PM
Best Buy has a wide selection of CD's, for some pretty good prices too.
Agreed. I was very underwhelmed at the Circuit City's CD selection near my uni, but the one back home is pretty good. Best Buy owns them all, though. Target is good, but it's all "mainstream" music. That's not a problem at all for me considering my tastes; however, their prices are pretty high (unless you go during the first week of its release, then the prices are insanely cheap).
I saw Harry Potter: GoF last night too. It was easily the best of the four. The kids do a much better job acting. Surprisingly, Hermione was the culprit for "most over-acted scenes," while Ron was, I thought, one of the best overall. And the dragon scene is badass, the Yule Ball is funny, and Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort is just too awesome for words.

Also, Hermione wasn't hot like everyone said she would be. In the Yule Ball scene she looked like she was five.
Reserved for personal story at bottom of post.

For the record: I'd still poink her. For the record: I think the new Dumbledore sucks.

EDIT: in regards to statutory rape of Emma Watson: sixteen is legal where I live. In some parts of the country, it's thirteen (ugh.), and in other areas, it's eighteen (official adult, I guess).

You guys are sooooooooooooo metal. I dig concert photographs.

///

Reserved spot time! Hooray!

Right, so last time I spoke with you guys, I was worried about falling asleep at Harry Potter with my friend whom I hadn't seen for a couple months.

The movie itself was not bad at all.

My reasons:

1. I read Goblet of Fire in eighteen hours, don't ask why.
2. As a result, I completely forgot about EVERYTHING that went on in the book, so everyone that said, "Dude, there's no [insert event/thing here] in the movie!" didn't faze me at all.
3. Therefore, it was like watching a brand new movie. Rock.

Afterwards, we came back to my house and played darts.

Quick story: prior to this game, we were tied one game a piece. We played at some random party. She was, erm, "inebriated," yet she won the first game through some miracle. She had 54 points and I had 3 or something, and her first drunken throw landed in the triple 18. Of course, she had no idea she won because she was a bit tipsy, so I had to explain it to her that she won.

"I won. I WON?! HAHAHAHAHA. WHAT!"

The next game, I smoked her. She was still in triple-digits (oh, right: we were playing 301).

So, we've been talking trash all the time until last night. We came back after the movie, and she said, "Okay, best two-of-three."

I won the first game. By a lot. I talk more trash and ask her if she needs a drink in order to win.

I win the second game. She says to make it best-of-five.

I eek out a third victory, but it was wayyyyyyyy closer than the first two.

She concedes. I win at darts! And possibly life!

I was glad to see her again.

But yeah, the movie itself wasn't too bad. A couple things I didn't like:

1. The new Dumbledore sucks (as mentioned before), and
2. What the shit was that rock and roll band doing at the Yule Ball? They were horrible! Was that in the book (because I obviously don't remember)?

In all, the end. It was a good night.
There was snow.
Haha, yeah, we had lots of snow, too. I drove over to pick her up, and it was already snowing pretty steadily already.

She walks out, and her mom (whom I haven't met officially, I don't think) says, "Please drive safely, okay?"

"Yes, ma'am."

I turn to my friend in the car and said, "Come on. This is me we're talking about here driving." The only way that'll make sense to everyone else is that her brother sucks at driving. He speeds when it's icy, and has gotten in... four (maybe more?) accidents. Needless to say, I do not suck at driving.

I also had to re-scrape my car after the movie. And then re-scrape it AGAIN when I had to take her home. Snow is crazy, man. But it wasn't a blizzard, fortunately. Just lots of snow

So, in summary:

1. Seeing a friend I hadn't seen in awhile was awesome
2. New Harry Potter was pretty good
3. I win at darts!
4. Holiday break is going well thus far
5. Lists look more badass when there's five items

Rock.
