;) Cob: try eating them instead of stepping on them |
lol, he hasn't quite grasped fruit loops yet...
|
Fruit Loops and Cinnamon Toast Crunch = best breakfast cereals.
|
No way jose.
Fruit Loops suck, mostly. frosted mini wheats ftw |
I'm not big on frosted mini wheats, they aren't really mini first off, and they get really dry when eating them.
Stupid itunes. I downloaded the new version and now I have an extra GB of music on my list, which means I have to go through and find out what is on more than once. |
That happened to me yesterday. Really pissed me off.
I just took everything with no plays off, but I don't know if everything in your itunes is played... |
I haven't gotten the new iTunes. The version I have now works just fine.
|

That's weird...itunes is pretty good about minimizing dual files, unless you move them so it appears that there are two of the same file. I haven't upgraded yet woot. edit: I have 9500 unplayed songs :-\ |
The new one is quite nice. The video section is better for me, too.
|
I'm picky about my music, everything has to be played or I get annoyed.
|
The one thing I don't like about iTunes is that if you move stuff around, you have to upload it again.
|
I'm picky about my music, everything has to be played or I get annoyed.
Me too. But, as Nick pointed out...my external drive moved from E to G so I had to re-load all of my library. That was only a few months ago. My highest play count is currently 2, and I don't know how only one song got played twice but meh :p |
highest playcount - wrath of revenge - upon angels and saints - 77
seems low tbh |
All outta angst - 62.
|
My most played is "Rockets" by Cat Power - 21, apparently.
I need to save up for an external hardrive. |
Jeez...including all the time I've had itunes (like 4 years) I'd still guess my max playcount wouldn't exceed 50 on any one song.
You guys need more variety. |
My parents went and bought one the other day. I was about to get one myself but I kept quiet because I wasn't up for paying for half of it.
|
Some Weezer song is number one on my computer, I think.
|
Get ready for SUPER EMO COMP: PART II
The big budget, poorly written, sub-par box office smash sequel. |
i have a lot it on it
but thats just high cause its a local band that only released 2 songs then broke up :-/ but it rules |

Gav:
I e-mailed my relatives your story (straight-up copy/paste job with the Photobucket pictures). They collectively said that your doctor seems like a nice lady and she may give you an honest opinion, but she's making it sound like it's the end of it all, when it really, truly is not. Of course, this is dependent solely on how much of a pussy you are going to be about it (don't think I'm kidding when one of my relatives said this in his reply e-mail). Basically, with physical therapy and potential for getting some work done on your wrist in surgery (although he's not absolutely certain), and patience and a lot of time, you'll be back to playing. Yes, you will probably need to start from scratch again, but it's better than never playing again. And yes, for the record, one of my relatives insinuated that you're a pussy if you think it's the end. Whatcha gonna do, brother? :Hulk Hogan: |
Of course I'm doing physical therapy, Jom. Music is basically my life. :)
Thanks for your not-so-kind-yet-effective words. <3 -Gav |

el oh el Jom: My thoughts expanded into a comical and paragraph form. |
They're not *my* words, you midget tosser!
Just because we're blood-related doesn't mean they speak on behalf of me! No but seriously I know how PT can suck. My spine is not even straight and I have pinched nerves and four herniated discs. I do some form of PT every single day or else I will be in pain the next morning. But, I can still run around and lift and do things I thought I wouldn't be able to do well anymore... it just takes machismo, cojones, and tacos. srsly. Much love and etc. PS: at least you can still wear tight pants :-* |

i was supposed to do physical therapy because of leg surgery but i never did

brb tho i gotsta git mah close frum teh drier
oic. well i won't push if it's touchy for you :) I had to get back PT for a car accident I got it. 93 year old man rear ended us. :-\ |
It was a near traumatizing experience when I was told that I may not be able to do sports again. The thought of me not being able to play a pick-up game of basketball, or play baseball in the summers, or even touch football ever again was scary as hell for someone like me.
I had been in the best physical health of my life at the time of the injury. My legs were solid, my chest was a rock, my arms were fine. But then to basically be told that I may not be able to do the things I used to do with relative ease anymore was a huge blow. But, instead of facing it as 'Dammit, this is the end of my athletic career,' I did the PT and the stretching and the other BS and I'm slowly but surely working my way back. I will [probably] never be able to max 340 pounds again unless I get surgery (which would put me on the shelf/out of work AND school/etc.). I have to accept that, but I can do enough so that I won't be Floppy Tits McGee or something. There are some exercises (squats, back extensions, etc.) that I simply cannot do anymore because of the stress it puts at my injury point. No PT or stretching will get rid of that for me; I'll live with it for the rest of my life, probably. But, it's better than being damned to a wheelchair for the rest of my life. And I can still run and play sports and things... I just need to do the work, or else I'll be in a shit-ton of pain. |
That sucks, mine was nowhere near that bad. I just had months of PT to get my muscles back up to strength. Initially I couldn't move like 5 pounds with my neck...and the average 18 year old is supposed to be at like 185 I think. Im pulling these numbers out of god knows where, but I was way below on the charts, and had to work back up to average in addition to lots of chiropractic stuff and the like.
|
True story:
My first physical therapist was this built - and I mean built - Scandanavian woman. Her name was either Helga or Olga; I don't remember exactly, but it WAS one of those two. So we're just talking about my PT goals or whatever, and she's checking my pressure points in my spine and feeling my discs line up the way they are (instead of straight, they're... not-straight), and all of a sudden I hear her go, "HUNGHH!!" and I heard the biggest crack in my whole life because she pressed down on it, which made me arch myself in. It felt so awful right away, but then felt awesome. It was just scary as hell because it was quiet and then loud and jerky. |
lol @ stereotypicalness
Yeah, chiropracticness is sweetness. You're like "Wow, they just broke my back" then you sit there and relax, and you get up, and it's like "oooo, so much better" I can tell when my back's even a little out now because of the difference...and it still happens a lot alas :-\ I also had to do massage because it wreaked havoc on my muscle system. I'm seriously still tighter than most athletes I know :-\ |
No, I'm serious... this lady could kick my ass.
She was awesome, but then my insurance didn't cover subsequent visits, so I had to go my separate way. Fortunately, though, she gave me a huge list of things I can do, so I owe a lot to her for keeping myself reasonably healthy. When I'm having a bad day, I have to take Advil/Aleve/etc. But, I haven't had to do it since... June, I think. So that's pretty good. *knocks on wood* What are you up to this weekend? |

So that's pretty good. *knocks on wood* What are you up to this weekend?
Haha, no it's just funny to see stereotypes enacted for real. Insurance is a bitch though. Our PT said we'd be healed in a few months back to 100% and the insurance company wouldn't let us go the last few months so as a result we've slipped from where we were since we never totally healed. :-\ Yeah, our PT is great, we could go in and he'd never charge us if it came to that...but my parents are good people. I never take pain killers, i just deal heh. But good times to not even have a need to. Well, usually I go over to my neighbors' Friday night for a party...but they just got a new neighbor who works at the facility and she's a real bitch...already gave them a 10 day warning to clean up or get evicted, and so I doubt that'll happen tonight, so I'm not sure. Beyond that, lots of hw/test prep for my three tests next week and a band audition Sunday and band practice with a diff band after that. You? |
All of my professors have pushed back deadlines, so instead of this past week blowing goats, this upcoming one will.
But it's okay, because I think I did okay on my first paper and exam this past week... but I've been a pile of nerves so far because this is definitely one of my most challenging semesters thus far, and I'm hoping it's because it's the first five weeks of school and not the fact that I'm unconfident in my abilities... but diagnosing a hypothetical patient for the first time and not knowing if it's the real diagnosis is exhausting for me (because if I mis-diagnose I basically fail the paper) :\ Fridays I usually go over to my friends' apartment for a movie night and they have a bunch of people over, but I don't know if that's on or not because the last couple times we had a movie night, crappy girls have been over. By crappy I mean 'we don't like talking' even though we all ask polite questions about school/class/life/etc. And it took us/them over 45 minutes to pick. A. Fucking. MOVIE. And it was a crappy movie, too. Well, not crappy, but I watched it pissed off/annoyed. And one time I saw one of the crappy girls on campus and I waved and was like, 'Hey, Sam!' and she didn't acknowledge me. I was like, 'Uh, lolz.' Seriously, though... they do NOT talk at all. And they can't come to a decision. They're terrible guests. I just hate feeling like my weekend/life is going to waste on account of other people. But I don't fault my friends for it at all; it's just those same three girls that can't make a decision or engage in conversation. And it's just basically going to be studying/football all weekend. Just like every other autumn weekend :\ Haha, oh well. |
I wish my teachers spread it out better, but all my tests were this week and next week :-\
My neighbors have hot girls over at every party. A few weeks ago they had the ASU dance team show up at their party. They even have a bar in their apartment, it's a kickass party place...shame that bitch hates fun. So many people hook up with great looking girls there it's not funny. I hate the people who mess up my social life for being idiots too though. |
I rolled my ankle yesterday, and today, we fly out for the National Championships, for soccer. I am so pissed.
