Im gettin DSL next month or so,and ill be able to upload all these emails. :thumb:
Don't tell me you've been missing out on downloading all these albums? You poor, poor boy.

Alright, this is going to be probably the most off topic thing I've ever asked....but how many of you have boyfriends/girlfriends? I've noticed we never seem to bring relationships into this thread, and I don't wanna be the one to start a string of "spam," but I spend enough time talking to most of you that I'm curious to know more about what's going on in your life that isn't music (...or drug...) related. I'm extremely single (and obviously lonely).

Lunch 10-02-2005 04:23 PM

I'm on the single and "hookup with drunk chicks" path right now, and I gotta say, it's working out.

Glitterati 10-02-2005 04:25 PM

The sweetest thing happened today. I was at my local library, and my whole family is aquainted with the librarians there. Sometimes, if they see something they think we'd like, they'll put it in our request space. What to I find in my request space today but "Inside Out: A Personal History Of Pink Floyd."

It's a great book.

np: ELO - Evil Woman

I've never had a girlfriend, and I'm not afraid to admit it. I have a serious problem with talking to girls, I get comically nervous. :upset:

Unfortunately I'm with you. A lot of the time when I'm talking to girls I just get really nervous and end up embarrassing myself somehow. Right now I'm on the "Lunch path." That only works for one night or so though, it doesn't get you a girlfriend :upset:. I'm fine talking to girls that I'm just friends with, but when if I'm talking to a girl I want to go out with, I almost always mess up.

And yeah, Thickasabrick, this is a pretty wierd question. You creep :p j/k

Lunch 10-02-2005 05:05 PM

Don't insult the Lunch path.

PinkFreud 10-02-2005 05:07 PM

my girlfriend and i will have been going out for a year on the 24th. despite that, i STILL get nervous talking to girls, even if i have no interest in them. theres a lot of awkward silence. my girlfriend and i had known each other for a while before we started going out, so i was pretty comfortable around her.

before that, my last girlfriend cheated on me. in front of me. isnt that ****?

Walrus Gumboot 10-02-2005 05:21 PM

I always thought boys were mean. It turns out they were just shy

/makes everyone nervous

/thinks hooking up with drunk girls is shameful

Lunch 10-02-2005 05:24 PM

Well to be fair, I'm drunk too. So in some ways they're taking advantage of me.

Me and my girlfriend have been going out for almost a year (it'll be a year in November).

I was never really all that uncomfortable around women, to be honest...I always seem to channel nervousness into charm, if that makes sense at all (and doesn't sound too arrogant :upset: )

WelcomeToTheMachine 10-02-2005 05:45 PM

No girlfriend for me, women in my grade/school are the kind of chicks who are about looks, not personality (because im not the skiniest person youd ever meet), it sucks a lot, and whats funny is, a lot of the girls here are my friends, and they tell me id make a great boyriend, blah blah, yet ive asked out 2 of them(because ive really got to know them and really like them) and they say no. im alone a lot of tiem and i hate it so much, thats why im on here a lot.

That personality Jazz only pair with good looks. But iys hard to say that guys are much differnt

BTW did you see Bob Dylan in Pittsfield? I asked before but you must not have seen

Glitterati 10-02-2005 05:55 PM
I always thought boys were mean. It turns out they were just shy
True. If the majority of guys were like yours truly, no girls would ever get asked out.

My math teacher said that in high school, all girls go for the jocks/pricks. Then they smarten up after.

WelcomeToTheMachine 10-02-2005 05:56 PM

uhhh no i didnt..is it a dvd or something?

it would never happen. :upset:

No I was just wondering, since you are in the general vicinity, and since he did such a good show in Pittsfield (MA) in June, if you happened to be there
My math teacher said that in high school, all girls go for the jocks/pricks. Then they smarten up after.
Your math teacher sounds bitter. That isn't neccesarily true, but certain people posess certain characteristics tha make them appealing to different age groups. There are always the guys that are 7th grade cassanovas that are burned out by high school, and then the popular folks that get all over the place in high school but find themselves stuck in unhappy marrages later in life. then there are those that have that perfect something that would make them the perfect husband/wife that makes them completly unnattrative to highschool age kids (IMO)
Then there are some that can float through life and succeed at everything they do, but who needs them?

One of my best friends exclusively dates nerds. She has been through two computer nerds and a band geek. Then again, she is kind of a nerd, but a fairly attractive one who could probably do better, if that stresses my point at all

dyke alert.

she may be doing it on purpose. ive definitely been around girls who date below themselves in order to make themselves look better. of course, that might not be what she's doing, but its a possibility.

WelcomeToTheMachine 10-02-2005 06:12 PM

WHAT!!!!!! Bob..Dylan..came...here?!?! sshhhiiitttt i didnt even know he came to MA i wouldeve went in a heartbeat

fuucck
You lesbo.
Funny story. My other best friend (let's call her Ashley) had a crush on the first one (let's call her Jane), but Jane didn't know that Ahsley had a crush on her. The best part was when Ashley asked Jane to the prom, and thinking it was just a friend thing, blew Ashley off to go with some computer nerd
Needless to say Ashley was heartbroken, and some of Ashley's friends wouldn't even talk to Jane. The best part was that Jane had no idea until a couple of weeks ago that she did anything wrong

Moral of story: I am not a lesbian but some of my friends are

Like PF said, a lot of girls are like that because they want to be with a guy who worships them and makes them feel good about themselves.

That's what I always figured, but it just goes to show, if you are a nerd, you will be doomed to be single for many moons or at the very best become the thing that makes some nerdy girl feel better about herself

I did until my computer couldn't take it anymore, which was, sadly, after Bringing it all back home, but I'll try again later

Also, I get kinda shocked at all the "girls go for the douchebags in HS" talk that goes on in here :-\
I'm bored, how many people actually downloaded some Dylan that I sent?
I d/l s/t and Another Side. I would have d/l all the others if I didn't already have them.

Edit- Who are Depeche Mode?

thickasabrick 10-02-2005 06:37 PM
I'm bored, how many people actually downloaded some Dylan that I sent?
I downloaded all the albums that I didn't already have on my computer, which was quite a few.

edit- and my relationships never work out because I look for a girl who's exactly like me, and girls seem to go for guys who are opposites of them. Girl's love conflict in a relationship, that's what makes them so hard for me to get along with. My last girlfriend told me she only cheated on me because she wanted to stir things up in our relationship, and since I just forgave her and tried to forget about it she broke up with me. She said since I started doing drugs I wasn't fun to argue with anymore because I always just let her win....but from my perspective I was only trying to make her happy.

Long story short: I tried to be as nice as possible to my girlfriend and make her as happy as possible, and that was too boring for her. She's a fucked up girl and it pisses me off.

jpj 10-02-2005 06:37 PM

I downloaded The Basement Tapes and John Wesley Harding. I might download s/t and Another Side of later, I have all the others.
