how many languages do you speak?

pretty much just english and arabic. i've studied a lot of languages but that doesn't mean i can speak them

I wanna learn Cantonese some day though, mostly so I can speak with my azn friends

i'm jelly of my daughter, she's growing up speaking english, korean, and french. it makes our conversations pretty interesting when she breaks from one language to the other

I have to take a German course to transfer to another school, but I'm never gonna be very fluent in it.

Sorry, I meant as a child in grade school - do you guys have classes to learn basic Spanish and stuff in (ie) grade 3?

I would totally enroll in an Intro to Chinese class next year if it wasn't an all-year course.

That's weird. We started learning French (in my school at least) as early as grade four. I believe it went up until Grade 8 where it then became an "elective" so to speak (I stopped after grade 9 'cause Fuck Quebec).

Sadly the only thing I can remember from those classes now is Roch Voisine, that fish swimming song and the basics :lol:

Yeah, hence why I stopped learning it.

But it's def an asset to have, especially in the job market. I think even if I went on with it, I wouldn't have retained it 'cause no one I know is fluent in French. C'est la vie.

And yeah band is going good, demoing songs on Sunday, playing a fucking rad show on Saturday, after that it's all finishing assignments and cramming for exams. Then researching over the summer for my dissertation.

I'm well, thanks. Classes are officially over so that's always a good time. Just currently sitting outside doing my take home exam and gotta finish up some final papers and I'm done for the year as of Tuesday. Stoked.
