Well, have a Borders Gift Card, went out and bought Benefit and Disrali Gears today. Gears was alright (not as good as I thought) but Benefit had some really badass stuff on it. With Your THere to Help Me one of the sweetest songs ever.
I had also downloaded Knights in White Satin, that is also a killer song. |
Yea^ :upset:
Put down your books and pick up a gun. Help me fight for this. http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=351601 |

My uncle has "god bless the red krayola and all who sail with it"... but its in vynil. They are a really cool band, never got the fame they deserved, (which is good in a way). their stuff is preety hard to find, i just listen to my uncle's record when i can |
Speaking of Classic rock has any one ever listen to Chuck Berry, I don't usally listen to him but when i do ITS GREAT MUSIC,
I would say one of the main reasons why Classic rock is on the rise is because teens are getting tried of this mainstream, HighDistortion, and Watered down Lyrics, They want to listen to something original |

I can't wait to get more of their matrial. Is God Bless the Red Krayola or All Who Sail With It any good? Texas psychedelia represent! I hope someday I'll be contributing to Texas' psychedelic reputation. :) |
its really good, really chanllenging to listen to, but it grows on you, especially if you are a seasoned Phycedelic listener.
I dont know how it compares to "parable", but from what ive heard "God bless..." is their best album. By the way where did you find "The Parable of Arable Land"? |
Does any who know who made the song that goes " GIRL YOU REALLY GOT ME NOW"
and what is the name of the jimmi hendrix song where he goes " 'xuse me while I touch the sky" I love the guitar intro to that song |
Question 1-The Kinks
Question 2-Purple Haze |
Question 1-The Kinks
Question 2-Purple Haze
Thank you! *salutes* Purple Haze, I will master this song on the guitar at once |
Haha, Its acctually not that hard to play. ;)
|
I learned it all exept for the first solo which is freakin' weird and I can't quite get it right.

Well, I saw Deep Purple tonight, and I must say the old farts still have it. Ian Gillian hasn't lost any vocal skills, and Steve Morse is a **** good guitarist. If you have a chance to see them, do so, even if you're not a big fan.
Did I mention tickets were $5 and they had BBQ? 'Twas a good day. |
awsome, deep purple doesnt come round here, infact no one comes here, it sux.
|
I rather buy a nik. :smoke:
|
jpj: you live in the south, right?
If so, than that BBQ must be awesome. That's one thing the south did right: food. Also, I'm not really a big fan of Deep Purple. |
Y'all don't be a'dissing the south ya' hear? (kidding)
I think jpj lives in Canada. Edit: It's a shame when I have to argue with a teacher over if "y'all" is a real word. I hate rednecks. :upset: |
I'm pretty sure he lives in like, Virginia or something like that.
|
I remember Canada but now I can't remember.
|
Thickasabrick and Livewired both live in Canada.
|
well all my good friends love classic rock, but at my school i dont notice the sweep of popuarity all that much. mainly because there are a lot of east indians there and if you dont like rap they beat you up. im the only one with the guts to stand up.
LONG LIVE ROCK! ROCK AND ROLL AINT NOISE POLLUTION! Favourite bands: The guess who, AC/DC, rolling stones, Deep Purple and Guns and roses. |
i think before posting, you should read the other 34639 post in this thread
|
Is Three dog night considered classic rock? if so then I like them a lot.
|
I don't know.. I've never heard any of their songs..
|
JPJ lives in West Virginia, and for 5$ I'd be a fan of Deep Purple.
|
Yep, West Virginia, so I'm almost the south. I was there all day, and they had 4 opening bands. The first three were alright, but the last one were ****ing awesome. They were a blues band and they placed in the international blues competition. I really wish I could remember their name :-/
