Wait, you're trying to say there are more rock fans than metal fans here, yet the front page of R&M is easily 95% metal threads?
|
Really! I mean WTF!!! We have like a 10 to 1 Metal Head to Rock fan ratio in R&M it's outragious! A Rock forum would have more traffic than Alt & Indie at least and It would'nt be a huge loss to this forun anymore. I feel like I'm the only one trying to fight for this. :(
I'm with you. |

I think it would be nice to have a sub-forum, I think it would give the rockers a better sense of identity, but there is a community between the rockers and the metalheads, somewhat of a bond that unites us against the punks etc. Perhaps as an alternative we should just hijack the other music or alt/indie forums |
As long as they leave our home thread alone I'm fine.
|

Who's your avatar? He looks eerily like a kid that goes to my school |
Also, there would be people arguing about bands like Tool, Primus, GnR, etc. about what forum they should go under, and whether or not it's A&I or just rock. The last thing we need is more people arguing over genres.

Tom Verlaine  EDIT: Whoa, I beat Lunch in posts in this thread. I thought he had a lot more than me. |

EDIT: Whoa, I beat Lunch in posts in this thread. It's a little creepy, if my scanner worked I would scan my yearbook |
How do you check who has posted in this thread?
|
How do you check who has posted in this thread?
If you go back to the R&M page and click on the link that shows the number of replies |
Also, there would be people arguing about bands like Tool, Primus, GnR, etc. about what forum they should go under, and whether or not it's A&I or just rock.
Wait, you're trying to say there are more rock fans than metal fans here, yet the front page of R&M is easily 95% metal threads?
No.....the other way around. You proved a point BTW. There ARE 95% Metal threads on the front page. |
Woah. Badmoon has posted in here over 4 thousand times.
|

Ah, sorry I did read the numbers backwards, but why would there being more metal fans constitute a rock forum? |
Woah. Badmoon has posted in here over 4 thousand times.
He never comes around nowadays. Except sometimes when someone brings up his absence ALLMIGHTY BADMOON I DO SUMMON THEE! |
Woah. Badmoon has posted in here over 4 thousand times.
He doesn't post anymore though. He's a movie critic now.
I'm in the top 10. |

Pretty much everyone has posted in this thread more than me.
I honestly don't see the necessity for another forum. I'm agreeing with jpj on this one. |
^
Ah, sorry I did read the numbers backwards, but why would there being more metal fans constitute a rock forum?
There's just too **** many of them. We're getting drown out! A Rock thread in here dies very quickly unlike Metal threads. |
How do I find my old posts in here, from like november last year? I've tried to search for just my user name in the, "search this thread", but it doesn't find anything.
|
There's just too **** many of them. We're getting drown out! A Rock thread in here dies very quickly unlike Metal threads.
Those same threads wouldn't get anymore traffic if there was a seperate forum because it's the same people posting. |
You don't think some Alt & Indie people would want to post?
|
I've got a bit of Dylan done uploading, once Blonde on Blonde, John Wesley Harding and Blood on the Tracks are done, I'll send it all out.
|
Another forum would be nice, honestly I never visit R&M because it's more like M(& CR thread).
|
There should be a subforum just for Classic Rock.
|
I don't think that'll ever happen. It would be nice, though.
|
He doesn't post anymore though. He's a movie critic now.
Curse him for getting a life and a job. |
And a classic forum will be 75% AC/DC FLyod and Zep anyways.
Wow I'm surprised I don't ahve that many posts in this thread. And I'm surprised I have more than DeusExMachina. |

The reason that Badmoon and RNR have such big posts in this thread is because they've been here the longest, spamming, or as Thickasabrick put it "arguing like a married couple"
isnt it ward how badmoon and rocknot roll agrue like a married couple. they so hig h poest s they argeue like together forgether.

anoa; far, omdeen. dimabbeag dooary can kiaa my *** he's sso angyr all hteime im spinninngg iitalikw rhw qY RO FO MAN QW SNIJ NE HTall,\

k i ment to type better, i have to go really slow not. i don't remember what i tried t o say ti realize that was messup ^ but i trt gard er now. i mentioned dimebage darreel , and mot much liking him. i dont ree ember what last sentence iis aboikut and ican't read it all taall at all. so ok, m sory about the badjness. i do bddad things
"I'm sorry about the badness "
k man i jst reallyize 180000 post or wahtever i s alot ajnn i wasted it while drunk or stone irdont realize waht it really is one or the other. but something keep me typieng as goood as a,wags, im sorrrhggty!\
He doesn't know if he's drunk or stoned.
oh k i now know tht it was 18000 for me, not efor everyone so its not a big delal its just me not tehw whol e thread.

oh **** rorck not roclll be mad at me now i spam and he gets angrrrruy. i hope ihe is forgittvving of what i do when im not as good as i should b e oholy crap o tulepd that good.
This one is my absolute favorite. "he gets angrrrruy"
k sorry ont bnad nt me please cuz i love poting here an mods dont ban d me.
/brings back dead cow. |

....Slow night.

Indeed.
I'm getting ready to e-mail out 13 Dylan albums. :\ |
Good man.
I'm listening to Jeff Buckley while looking at the lists of www.digitaldreamdoor.com . I forgot how cool this site was. |

Never posted there, I just read the lists. I picked up Grace from the Other Music YSI thread. I do not regret it 1 bit. He's on a lot of the lists, number 6 in Greatest Male Performance. Edit: Freud, can you upload Jeff Buckley's cover of Kashmir? My friend and I are dying to hear it. |

Ha, I think that's what I meant, I just screwed up on the wording. I can't believe he tried to make his voice lower by smoking. Crazy Jeff. |
Indeed.

Everytime this thread slows down someone brings up that time I tried to post drunk (I think I actually had smoked pot too, but I was a lot more drunk. I can assure you guys that I post high all the time and it has never affected my typing skills that horribly.) I'm actually high right now, although I think at this point of time I'm still more affected by the caffeine I had...apparently Tim Hortons gives out like cups of pure caffine, it's pretty strong stuff. They just finished re-showing the second half of No Direction Home...it was pretty awesome. The only thing I don't like about that movie/documentary (whatever) is that it never finishes any of the video clips for the songs...it always just plays bits and pieces. That's very annoying. It shows like four different clips of various performances of Like a Rolling Stone, yet it can't even show one song all the way through.
....13 Dylan albums?! I'd better check my email. Typing this went very slowly because my cat is very attracted to the mouse on the screen and watching me type...and he likes to walk all over the keyboard and he presses a lot of buttons. |
I thought the documentary was pretty cool, at least from what I saw of it.
