blue3 01-11-2006 02:37 AM

Profile says 18.

iluvkirkhammett 01-11-2006 02:46 AM

Yeah I turned 18 in September.

I'm thinking of going back blond eventually.

what colour do you have now?

iluvkirkhammett 01-11-2006 02:52 AM
what colour do you have now?
Brown/Black with blond foils, it doesn't look too bad. I have to wait for a while until I treat my hair again, I don't want to kill it.

I'd like a honest opinion...

Would Metallica have been better off with James not singing and playing rymthm guitar only.

I think so.

Any thoughts?

Thanks... That's a very positive response.

I didn't mean anything in a negative way.

I've just thought about if the direction of Metallica would have been different and if so how?

Iron Pantallica 01-11-2006 04:07 AM

metallica wouldnt be metallica if james wasnt the singer. could u imagine metallica with som1 like axl rose as their songer, it would just be weird, really weird

Jim 01-11-2006 04:12 AM

James' voice kinda is Metallica. It's instantly recognisable.

I agree with that... I've been reading alot on the history of metal as of late....

So I've been doing alot of "what if" thinking.

I was more thinking the direction... What the music style would be like... and so on...

I can't picture Daves style of guitar work in Metallica though.

iluvkirkhammett 01-11-2006 04:26 AM

Hetfield's voice is Metallica, it's what makes their songs memorable.

shadow_stalker 01-11-2006 04:37 AM

Sph 01-11-2006 08:11 AM

He's an incredibly good songwriter but far from 'one of the greatest'.

Can anyone point me to a live recording of No Leaf Clover?

:smash:

Sph 01-11-2006 09:08 AM

S&m?

fatbandit 01-11-2006 10:08 AM

Yeah, S&M's live, but I thought you might have guessed I meant not the S&M one. I want it without the orchestra. And yes, I've got the DVD, I've played it with the orchestra off. I just want it on audio.

Man I was gonna say I had it on a bootleg DVD.

You could try the Metallica vault and maybe buy it if you're that desperate.

Mr. Black 01-11-2006 10:42 AM

Isn't 'No Leaf Clover' a live only song?
