I loved Too Bad Your Beautiful. I actually didn't know that their drummer sang. I know the drummer for Underoath sang, but not the one from FATA.

I wish I could see either of those bands live. And I'd like to see the Bled too.

Like the drummers who try and use a microphone while drumming to sing = lose...

But drummers who wear the headset aka looks like they are working for McDonalds = Fashion LOSE

Gig review mofos:

June was the first band up and unfortunately I was still outside at the start of their gig, though the sound leaking through the windows was very clear anyways so I got a fairly good feel for the band by the time I was in for the end of their set. What absolutely floored me was their fanbase though. The guys in front of me in line were talking about how they waited two and a half hours to go to their last gig. That right there told me a lot about how good they must be and I must say, I was fairly impressed. This was the first time I've been to a show where the first band had a mosh pit going. And this was no tiny ordeal either, this was a good fourth of the floor, and for an opening band well, I was pretty astonished. I plan to look into these guys.

Underminded was very meh. Clearly a ton of kids were into them, but let me tell you. I hate hardcore dancing and I hate the kids who think it's cool to do it. I will never see the point in punching various people in the crowd in the face for the hell of it. Not my idea of a good time. The band overused breakdowns in a sickening way and probably told the crowd to "Open this **** up." (meaning the pit) a dozen times. Per song. Hyperbole, but I was sure as hell sick of hearing it and this was the only band I was praying for their set to go by faster.

Halifax was extrememly impressive. I was tempted to buy their CD, except I wasn't sure I'd enjoy it on record as much as I did at the show, so I want to download it first. Their guitarist was exceptional and played a solo behind hs head at one point. I'm all about that old-style talent showcasing, and at a pop-punk gig...well I certainly didn't expect it but the guy definitely rocked. High-energy show too. I enjoyed them a lot.

Scary Kids Scaring Kids was incredible. I cannot write enough to do this band justice. This was apparently their first home show since their CD release, and you could tell they were excited to be back home. Pouyan, their keyboardist, had one of the best stage presences I've ever had the pleasure to see. He was out setting up his equipment and at the same time mingling with the crowd and meeting people and had terrific charisma. Definitely a stronger frontman than their singer. It was also his birthday, and it certainly seemed like he was havign a hell of a time up there. I wish I'd run across him after the show, seems like a hell of a guy. This was also their drummer Peter's last show with the band, and he too had a hell of a sendoff. Fantastic, high-energy set that involved the whole crowd. It was great, and the audience was extremely into it...and since by that time I'd worked my way up to about the third row...I can tell you people were clambering to get closer to the band. Also the most crowdsurfers I've ever seen for one band, and this is a small place too. Stage diving and crowd surfing abounded though, and it was fantastic. The entire band minus the drummer was pretty much in the crowd the whole time. These guys better go far, they deserve it.

Silverstein had a pretty good show, but they should not have been headlining, SKSK should have been. They were good, but unable to regain even a portion of the energy SKSK had drained out of the crowd. They put a lot in, but the crowd was dead by then. Pretty good music though, especially their encore. I may look into them because it was pretty enjoyable.

Just got back from my friends.
I was on a rope swing in his back garden, and I swung towards a tree by accident. So I jumped backwards to avoid injury, but in doing so, my crotch landed on a spikey bit of tree were all the branches had been cut off, so there was just sharp stumps.
Needless to say, I was in agony, and my pants have a very nice rip in them.

Ha. I don't have nearly as many posts as you. But it took me a long time to start posting because I took like a month to see how people were in here so I wouldn't get bashed.
