Hella have a few good songs, thats it.

Check out Giraffes?Giraffes! for some cool guitar/drum instrumental music instead. Not as chaotic as Hella, but it still has that experimental and "math" element to it or w/e
No. Hella suck.
Greg Ginn knew his ****.

Cirith Ungol 02-18-2008 08:21 PM

saint vitus rule i need to get the rest of their albums

the solos on the song "Born Too Late" are awesome

Anxious 02-18-2008 08:26 PM

Yeah. I think their cover of Black Flag's "Thirsty and Miserable" is pretty sweet.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor- Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven

so good, the soundscapes on this record are just mindblowing, the music is so dramatic and draining

pixiesfanyo 02-19-2008 04:27 AM

Pumice - Pebbles
Aidan Baker - At the Fountain of Thirst

Hopefully, I get to see Nadja when they come through California.

br3ad_man 02-19-2008 06:24 AM

What's the best Nadja album Jared?

Cirith Ungol 02-19-2008 07:18 AM

that pumice album is good

Kyle 02-19-2008 07:39 AM

Digging Rolo Tomassi after seeing them last night and Appleseed Cast after my tee shirt arrived in the post this morning :)

Jacaranda 02-19-2008 08:06 AM

nice to see saint vitus getting some notice

AlienEater 02-19-2008 11:06 AM

they are good. not a huge fan of reagers though. wino is far superior

harvey milk - special wishes, courtesy and goodwill, my love

going to listen to ruins, and airway later

Neoteric 02-19-2008 11:11 AM

i'm listening to Special Wishes right now, quite cool.

AlienEater 02-19-2008 11:13 AM

I think I prefer Courtesy and Goodwill. but that one is far more accesable and has some awesome songs and is still brilliant

it's nowhere as tortured or pained.
What's the best Nadja album Jared?
'Truth Becomes Death' is a good starting place.

black's abbath - mastero freality

Anxious 02-19-2008 02:29 PM

I was listening to that when I woke up. Sweat Leaf has some good lyrics.

Bordello 02-19-2008 02:30 PM

yeah i listened to it this morning too

the only problem i have with it is that half of "After Forever" sounds weirdly upbeat and '70s-ish

Anxious 02-19-2008 02:31 PM

Jimmy Tendicks.

Harvey Milk - Special Wishes

After one listen, I like it, except maybe the first song.

Bordello 02-19-2008 02:44 PM

i have axis bold as love on vinyl i jam it every once and awhile

he has a handful of really good songs and the rest suck nutsss
Harvey Milk - Special Wishes

After one listen, I like it, except maybe the first song.
yeah that might be the weakest one but i still like it a lot.

Anxious 02-19-2008 02:52 PM

I have Electric Ladyland and it has some pretty cool experimental recording techniques and lots of reverb. Other than that it stinks.
