I bought Cathedral - The VIIth coming for €1 and Emperor - IX Equilibrium for €3, those are my all time cheap records. Not counting classical music compilations.

Riva 09-22-2005 06:06 PM
I can buy Led Zeppelin's discography for $60...I'm not paying half that for a single CD...

P.S. Jason, ELO sucks :p
Quiet, infidel. Go back to your pop-punk, and I'll go back to my pop-rock.
Isn't that less in Australian dollars though?

And I always see Br3ad and Manuscriptreplica picking up cheap stuff!
That's because they live in a big city, nublar. And it's about $20 dollars American. Or some bs transition to Euro, the world's suckiest currency.

Well you said 'welcome to Australia' and I don't know about you, but I would judge a country on their big cities. Nub.

And CD's in big commercial stores cost around that amount as well here. A few excepted, independent stores and second hand stores are usually where it's at. Although one big store that sells about everything that's electric has a place in my heart. Cathedral CD's for a euro, what were they thinking?

And at least we can think of our own name, instead of just paying in dollars.

Thor 09-22-2005 06:10 PM
I almost got tricked into buying an NIN album for $25, but I traded some used CD's in to the store and got it for under $10.
What NIN album was it? None of them seem worth $25 to me.

Hey, grammar nazi, plurals do not require apostrophes.

And just because you're so mainstream that you judge a country by its big cities, you don't have to drag us kvlt folks down.

And besides, even the independant record stores have some eye-gouging prices at times.

They do if they're abbreviations, feghead.

What, you mean peasants?

Yes, they do. But they're usually more cosy to shop in.

But it's not an abbreviation, it is an acronym, waffleman.

Yes, I mean peasants.

True, though I wager your stores are still larger than mine.

superpeer 09-22-2005 06:17 PM

Since I made up that rule, aight?

EDIT: I think it might be a rule, I know there's something about it, my mind has been a bit fuzzy lately.

Jason: An acronym is a way of abbreviating something.

And yes, mine is larger than yours. :naughty:

I'm going to bed, 'night boys.

So, should I do a double interview for my next MNM, or write this week off as a holiday and just do a normal one next week?

Permanent Solution 09-22-2005 06:23 PM

Pfft, Editing is lame :p

Besides I was only playing :(

Shadows 09-22-2005 06:24 PM

Do a double! The interviews I find to be the most interesting part of the MNM.
Whether to add an apostrophe for a plural: should one write CDs or CD's? The apostrophe is not needed grammatically but sometimes is added to make it clear that the s is not part of the abbreviation.
I couldn't help but look it up before I went. I guess I kinda made it up.

I know that when there's a number you add it though. (mp3's)

I think my girlfriend gave me her cold.

Shadows 09-22-2005 09:11 PM

'Tis quite dead. It died a fatal death of morbid murder and shall never recover form its bout of deathly killing of the center of death control.

I'm pretty tired right now.

magicbus 09-22-2005 09:15 PM

It's always hot in my room. I'm listening to Primus and eating Ritz crackers.

Kurtz 09-22-2005 09:54 PM

I have a horrible cold right now.
