That song is orgasmic.

That song is Peter Green's.

I'm really liking the song The Harder they Come, I'm listening to it right now.
How was it?
What do you think?

He tore up the stage.
I was reading a review of a Santana concert, and it made me so angry.

It was like "People didn't come to the show to rock, they came to dance! Santana played his smash hit Smooth! He ended the set with Black Magic Woman, which was when most people began heading for the exits."

 Leaving during Black Magic Woman! That's disgraceful!
I'm not a fan of Santana, but that^ annoys me anyway. When I'm in the mood for it, Black Magic Woman is awesome, but that's about all the Santana I can take.

Anyone going to the Chicago Blues Festival? Buddy Guy's gonna be there. I would go if I could drive, but I can't.:(

I think I've convinced my dad that we need to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame sometime in July, so that'll be fun.

I like Aoxomoxoa mostly for Cosmic Charlie, but Saint Stephen and Dupree's Diamond Blues are cool too.

I don't think I've heard anything from Robert Randolph.

Oh, you must! I'll upload something.

I could go, but probably won't. I wouldn't go for Buddy Guy (I can see him anywhere; he even has his own restaurant), but for John Mayall.

I didn't know John Mayall was going to be there. Only 60 miles away and I can't go. I really need to get to see somebody live.

jpj: If you upload something, will it take forever for me to get to hear it since I still have dial-up?

Doesn't anybody use filesharing programs?

Anyways, if you must upload, upload "Run For Your Life" and "Squeeze".

Well, YSI is currently not working for, so nothing will be uploaded :(

But you should definitely try downloading some of his stuff.

thickasabrick 06-09-2005 10:55 PM

We are playing Evil Ways by Santana as one of the songs during our "cowbell medley" it's gonna be awesome.

And I saw Robert Randolph playing at a concert on tv, he was amazing. I'm trying to think who he was with, but I don't remember.

Ben Harper And The Blind Boys of Alabama did an amazing album together. I was gonna see Ben Harper and Trey Anastasio on the Zooma tour this summer but the fags cancelled it.

John Mayall is great. Love his solo stuff, and love his stuff with Clapton and the Blues Breakers.

My dads met him a couple times and said it was funny how many people would have him sign a guitar when he sings and plays harmonica :)

I saw Robert Randolph on the Crossroads Festival. I should really buy that DVD, it was a great show.

Cool. I know it's a pop song, for the most part, but it's a damn good one. Does anyone else have the Santana 'Legacy Edition' remaster? Two discs of brilliance. It's got the original studio album, a bunch of studio outtakes (with my favourite version of Soul Sacrifice), and their entire woodstock set. Very cool. Well recommended.

that dvd is great anyway. awe inspiring performances by clapton (of course), mclaughlin, vai, and others. hubert sumlin, hownlin' wolf's guitarist makes a few appearances. and buddy guy is a badass. theres nothing more to say about him.

ATM 06-10-2005 09:38 AM

I might go see him later this month.

Woodstock 06-10-2005 10:27 AM

thickasabrick 06-10-2005 06:44 PM

I'd really wanna go see Dylan. Buddy Guy would be cool too, he's still a great performer.

Glitterati 06-10-2005 06:50 PM

I can't see Bob Dylan this summer. And when I found out Merle Haggard was opening, hoo, boy...

Illmatic 06-10-2005 07:46 PM

It looks to be a dry summer, show-wise, for me.
