Dead Star 09-20-2006 04:31 PM

So I have physics homework

And I cant be arsed doing it.

Hurrah for motivation.

The Jungler 09-20-2006 04:33 PM
They seem quite expensive for what they are. They look cool, though.
meh, I don't think $35 is all that expensive. If you don't skateboard in them, like I used to, they last a hell of alot longer.

sex and drugs are punk rock fo sho

JohnXDoesn't 09-20-2006 08:49 PM

:chug:

Punk Rock = Rock n Roll in my book. So much good rock n roll around. All kinds...

Eliminator 09-20-2006 08:54 PM

Punk rock isn't music it's inhumane noise made by a bunch of bottom of the chain snotty young lads with nothing better to do than raise a ruckus i say

JohnXDoesn't 09-20-2006 08:59 PM

i like to think of it as the working mans blues/rant/whatever. at least in England thats kind of what it was. at least part of it, i suppose. working class music. angry, defiant, frustrated, hostile. in Amreica these days it seems to be a trip to Hot Topic for many :(

Eliminator 09-20-2006 09:02 PM

british punk sucks

Kif 09-20-2006 09:06 PM

As opposed to American punk...?

JohnXDoesn't 09-20-2006 09:06 PM

agreed. on many counts. but the clash are one of my favorite bands ever. and i like the sex pistols, as well. don't know about today? but yeah, the clash changed my life in all the right ways...

Eliminator 09-20-2006 09:08 PM

the clash and the buzzcocks were the only ones that mattered

JohnXDoesn't 09-20-2006 09:11 PM

sex pistols mattered. if nothing else they were the shot heard round the world. and that had a huge impact. plus they defined a lot of punks style and fashion sense. gave it a sharp definition. and 'Bollocks is a good album, IMO...just what was needed at the time. in more ways then one.

MattSharpIsCool 09-20-2006 09:12 PM

omg, you are all wrong! Punk rock is a lifestyle, man! You're all trendy posers. Go listen to Simple Plan and cry you emo fags.

The Ramones are more Punk Rock than you.

Chick vocalists tend to bore me, X is no exception :(

The Jungler 09-20-2006 09:24 PM

I've never heard X. I'm not all that big into older Punk.

JohnXDoesn't 09-20-2006 09:29 PM

i recommend Live In Los Angeles to you, Jungler. original line up, great tunes, and it doesn't sound dated at all. wish i had it to share. perhaps i will get it soon. i only have it streaming...

Pazz 09-20-2006 09:29 PM

Just got in from my first night of working the floor.

Anxious 09-20-2006 09:29 PM

I was reading an interview with Billy Zoom, and he said most of the records were fucked up due to bad engineering/production. Apprently its one of his biggest regrests in life.
