Haha, cool. If you're confident, it's easier to pull it off. I really wish I could sing.

Firecracker 08-11-2006 11:16 AM

My singing voice is lovely, and powerful in real life, when it goes through a microphone or is recorded it sucks many bums.

bottlerocket 08-11-2006 11:18 AM

My voice sounds totally different over a mic, too. It sounds a LOT deeper than it is. :(

Downfall by Children Of Bodom has the most chilling intro, it makes me smile.

Bad Blood 08-11-2006 11:29 AM

humm, something a bit different, probably just one guitar, a riff mainly.

bottlerocket 08-11-2006 11:29 AM

Crater to Cough In by Circle Takes the Sqaure

That intro is a behemoth.

Dammit by Blink 182 = legendary

My friend loves Circle Takes The Square
And he showed me some stuff, and it's alright like.

bottlerocket 08-11-2006 11:36 AM

CTTS = amazing

I'm off, though. Later everyone!

Byebye, I wanna just go out on a bicycle I haven't bought yet and see some friends, just ride out into the distance,
But sadly England is too regulated and that is a load of shiiet, and I have to wear a helmet otherwise I would be battered into a pulp, unlike finland where there is no traffic where people could just get on a bike and ride away 10 miles.

not my style at all but it's alright.

but for reference, off beat =/= swing

...It's not off beat though, it's in swing. Look at the third track, which the tempo changing every beat to make it swing.

Speaking of offbeat, though, I found Mod Flander's new(er) album. Take a Ride On My One-Wheeled Rickshaw

Much more polished than the album you gave me by them. The bass is still increadible and it's still trippy as hell.

chumpradio 08-11-2006 12:31 PM

/me loves to write and play acoustic stuff.

For once a topic in this thread that I am truly interested in, and I bet no one else will talk now.

I need to find a way to decently record acoustic stuff, I write a lot of Bright Eyes/Brand New/Elliott Smith style stuff.

Eh, it lacks the full feel of swing though, maybe because of the lack of bass.

i thought i gave that to you ages ago...ah well.

it is a good album.

Well we are planing on geting on the train at 6/7am, get in leeds for say 9, then going to the festival, and the gates open at 12, so we will be there early, so we hope there'll be a lot of space.

Firecracker 08-11-2006 01:34 PM

Firecracker 08-11-2006 02:25 PM

One Hand In My Pocket is the only song I've heard, and it's amazing.
She's another celebrity who apparently I look like.
