I have lots of moniez saved up. I can buy a harp and still be able to pay for my first 2 years or so of university with what is in my account right now. And then I'm going to work my *** off to make more moniez because I vow to have no debt when I finish school. |

School will be cheap for me. Tuition is only 4k a year. Living expenses will probably suck though. I've never lived away from mommy and daddy and never had to buy food or gas or other various necessities. I'm just a sheltered little farm kid :(
|
buying food sucks a lot. you end up spending lots of money and get so little in return. three days later you'll be completely out of food again. plus i like to eat healthy and it's tough when you don't have money. the only healthy food i can afford is tuna. eating tuna everyday will get old quick.
|
Yeah I've recently become a health nut so its going to suck when I move out. Healthy food is expensive, and I also can't cook to save my life so I can't prepare nice meals and will probably end up eating processed microwavable food and gaining a million pounds.
But on the bright side, a gym membership for a year at this university is only 10 dollars yay! I don't know what I'd do without a gym. |
nonsense. a good loaf of bread, a vegetable of the week, a meat product of the week, and a collection of condiments and spices leave plenty of room for experimentation, leftovers, all sorts of things.
Typically i'll pick out a Loaf of the Week (whatever looks the best from the bakery) for $2.50, a Meat of the Week, probably in both raw and sammich-meat style (so, say, some pork chops and some sliced bacon or something) for $5-10, and some veggies of the week (this week was tomatoes and red onions) for another $5-10. I bought a spice rack a while ago, and my fridge has essential condiments like mustard, ketchup, mayo, and other essentials like a lemon, iceberg lettuce for salads, sliced cheese, and eggs. the lemon usually lasts around 2-3 weeks, lettuce about 2 weeks, cheese goes about a month for me, and 12 eggs can go 3 weeks. m/k/m bottles last me 2 months easy. with that base, i can experiment (pork tomato mustard sammiches on sourdough? grilled pork chops with a tomato lemon salad? bacon wrapped pork chops? bacon n' cheese omlette?) cooking is fun and easy if you can find a good way to experiment and have some basic cooking skills and equipment. |
I don't have basic cooking skills :(
But I'm good at baking and making unhealthy dessert type things unfortunately. Its taken a lot of restraint to keep from baking anything the past few months. I guess if I had a really easy to follow recipe though i could manage to cook some stuff if it wasn't complicated. |
maybe you should look into finding a Betty Crocker picture cookbook!
http://www.cookbkjj.com/college/betty_crocker.htm a true classic. |
i can cook decently well, but it still gets pricey for me. i mostly consume protein and vegetables. i try not to consume carbs. i tend to eat a lot also.
it's hard to eat healthy when there are so many foods out there that are cheap, easy and delicious. that's why i work out a good 5 to 6 times a week and try to run 6 times a week. |
my friends go out for dinner 5-6 times a week.
i'm taking advantage of being at home to save my money and learn how to cook, so i can continue to save money when i move out. yay being smart with money. |
Yeah I'm getting more food conscious because of my girlfriend. She's a quasi vegetarian. I've always been keen on organic products and soy products, but she's turning me on to it even more. I'm even lessening my meat intake, because beef, ham, and shrimp farms are highly polluting.
Unlike PETA, I don't give a crap about the animals on the farm. I give a crap about all the pollution and havoc those harms wreck on the enviornment. |
I'm trying to do some paintings but I remembered how much I suck at painting.
I don't know what it is about painting that makes me suck. I'm pretty good at doodling, and I draw out my pictures lightly with pencil before painting them, but my drawings on anything but paper just don't come out right. |
AWESOME. I just got woken up by the fire alarm at 4 am. I now cannot sleep for the life of me.

I use them with my rock band. I love the balance and feel, the tips last longer than any other brand I've tried, and I never break them. |
wooo@ Payday. I doubt there will be any drum purchases for this 2 weeks though.
However, I plan on getting a new kit soon. It may or may not be beastier than my current kit. But the kicks will be hella bigger. |
