I'm pretty sure it's just an act to an extent. Like some of his interviews would be ****ing hilarious if he was serious. I have to ask myself, "wouldn't he have gone on a killing spree if he meant what he said instead of making the same CD over and over again". :lol:

Why must all these USBM bands release so many albums? That is one of their biggest downfalls, instead of actually making thought out music they keep releasing albums that are extremely amatuerish with nothing that sets them out from the rest of the crowd.

But past that, I enjoy 3 Xasthur releases ( A Gate Through Bloodstained Mirrors, Xasthur and Xasthur/Nortt split), and every thing past that just sounds like unispired stuff that he wrote and recorded out of sheer boredom.

I'd take Leviathan over Xasthur

I don't like Leviathan either, but Leviathan is a tiny bit better than Xasthur.

Leviathan sometimes has some cool (albeit minimal) psychedelic influences and cool bass parts sometimes so I think I prefer him a little as well.

I used to talk to some kid on WoW who said Malefic is from his area, something about him always trying too hard to seem cool.

Xasthur has one song that interests me. It's off the Leviathan split I believe, but I'm having trouble remembering what it's called. If I remember correctly, the only reason I like it is because of the synth intro - otherwise it'd probably be pretty boring.

Actually I did hear some Xasthur the other day and I enjoyed it.
