I can't not listen to the entire first disc. Or else it loses its feeling :-\
During the summer when I was home alone I would blast the hell out of the first disc :D |
Could anyone reccomend some songs by mercyful fate or king diamond?
Also a some opeth would be cool thanks |
Mercyful Fate
Come To The Sabbath Evil Curse of The Pharoahs Into The Coven A Dangerous Meeting The Oath King Diamond Arrival A Mansion In The Darkness Welcome Home Halloween For Mercyful Fate though, the first two albums are pretty much perfect. I cannot recommend them highly enough. |
Opeth:
The Leper Affinity Bleak Master's Apprentices By The Pain I See In Others The Moor Godhead's Lament To Bid You Farewell A Fair Judgement Windowpane Hope Leaves To Rid The Disease That should be good to start. Ones closer to the top are heavy, bottom is lighter. |
Pssh, Night Of The Unborn destroys all other Mercyful Fate songs.
|
I acutally forgot i posted in here. But thanks for the reccomendations
|
I need some more bands along the lines of Agent Steel. Heard that band from you guys and I'm completely hooked! \m/
|
Look into Helstar, Running Wild, and Iron Angel.

I know this isn't a good place to ask, but could anyone reccommend some intense (relatively), uptempoish, good classical composers/artists? Especially something string or key oriented (as opposed to wind oriented)? I turned on the Arts channel today and some orchestra was performing Johann Strauss's Persian and Egyptian Marches....it definitely gave me a new outlook on classical music.
|
Wait for Moses to get on.
|
*bump*
*waits for moses* |
Out of pure curiosity, I'd like to know what's good about Minus the Bear.

I haven't heard them in a while, but my guess: Old Carcass if you want the slower version Gronibard ( http://myspace.com/gronibard ) if you want the hyper manic depressive version. Macabre if you want the "wtf" version. |

I need some new Melodic Death. Something in the likes of Quo Vadis, Mors Principium Est, and Insomnium would be great.

Mercenary
|
Thanks. What would be the better album to check out, Hours That Remain or 11 Dreams? (looked them up on Amazon)
|
I've only heard 11 Dreams. I hear the new one is a little more harmony/melody based, so it's up to what you're looking for.
I personally hear better things about Hours That Remain. |
Cool, thanks man.
NP: Nile - User-Maat-Re |

I'm trying to get into some more death metal and I've been wondering what would be the best Necrophagist album to get?
|
Epitaph slays. Start with that.
|
Sweet, will do.
|
Nah, most people think their first one is the best.
|
I mentioned Epitaph because I was in the exact same situation. I was trying to get into death metal, then I heard Epitaph and from there my liking for death metal increased greatly. The first album is great though.

Onset of Putrefaction It's much better, in my opinion. |
