Could you have them discuss it over Starbucks?
Could you have them discuss it over Starbucks?
Starbucks didn't exist back then.

plausible (adj)

Giving a deceptive impression of truth or reliability.

CemetaryGates9 04-24-2005 08:35 PM

Yes, but they don't even live in the same time period.

Permanent Solution 04-24-2005 08:37 PM

If it's meant to be in ancient times I'd say school would be plausible or maybe the gymnasium.

Kingofdudes 04-24-2005 08:37 PM

I am starting to love Age of Silence. They took a while to grow on me, but now I love them. Thank you for uploading them a while ago DM/FF.

BoboTheRagingHobo 04-24-2005 08:38 PM

Holy crap!

I got my guitar back from the shop today with my new active EMG's installed in my guitar...

And I must say, these own the hell out of my stock pickups that were originally in it.

/extremely happy

I'd say the idea of self and function in community is a good way to start, it's broad enough to cover what you listed, but specific enough to pinpoint certain parts of their ideas and not cover everything. If you're following in Plato's footsteps you could have one be out walking, encounter the other, and they discuss it whilst walking.

By the way Jason 1, put some Aussie tours in my thread heh...it's so empty.

What kind of EMGs?

85's, 81's, ect.

What kind of guitar do you have, and what kind of EMG's are they?

BoboTheRagingHobo 04-24-2005 08:49 PM

My guitar is a Schecter Omen 6, and I put a 81 in the neck and a 85 in the bridge...

Killer stuff.

Cool stuff man.

Madey, my American Strat pickups are actually pretty nice. I keep telling myself I want new pickups, but then I turn around and get great tone out of the one's I have.

Mine is **** compared to all of your's, I have a Sammick Avion II Series... woot for $250 fake Les Pauls!

I spent ~$320 for my 2 electrics combined...

It depends on what kind of music you play, for less aggressive styles the stock pickups are really nice.

magicbus 04-24-2005 09:13 PM
Really? I always find stock pickups to be kind of lame.
Yea, I agree with you. I just felt like bragging about my American Strat and how even the stock pickups rule :p
My first was a squire. Hahahaha. So you shouldn't be talking about how yours is crap.
Good point, I also have a very nice Ibanez accoustic though, I forget what it is called exactly though, lol... it's actually my bros, but he never pl;ays it, gg.

ATM 04-24-2005 09:31 PM

My guitar sucks. It is a Yamaha Pacifica, and I can't afford anything better at the moment. My input constantly stops working, and the tone sucks hairy balls.

My acoustic is nice, it's a Washburn.

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-24-2005 09:36 PM

I love my acoustic. My mom got it for my dad at Ted Brown for 50 bucks. It's cheap, but it has this wierd homely quality about it. My electric..ehh. Ibanez Jumpstart. It's pretty cheap, but it sounds good through my Fender 50 watt Bassman amp.

Stubb 04-24-2005 09:36 PM

I got a mex strat with EMGs. Its got a pretty danm good tone.

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-24-2005 09:52 PM

So this weekend I was playing with matches at a party, and I was sitting around 3 of my lady friends, and one of em just took my matches, and started lighting them on the zipper of my pants.

Yes, a hot lady friend.

Then, the other 2 joined in.

Yes. 3 hot lady friends, lighting matches with the fly of my pants.

Then, one of em lit one, and it broke out of her hand, and lit my pants on fire. My BRAND NEW FREAKING PANTS!

Meh, it was well worth it.

Wow. Fragmented post!

pigonthewing82 04-24-2005 09:54 PM

Mine is a black Strat with a mirror pick guard, it looks just like David Gilmour's. I didn't try to do that, I had never seen Gilmour's guitar when I bought mine, and I just thought it looked cool. I have pretty nice guitar stuff concidering how crappy everything else I own is. I have a DS-1 Boss distortion, Jimi Hendrix Wah, and a really nice Fender amp with like 7 effects built in to it.

Also, the Bulls and Wizards finally gave us a good NBA playoff game this weekend.

I can't believe the Wizards are actually in the playoffs. It's been 8 years since they have been in.
guitar talk
How does your DS-1 sound? I want to get one of those.

Didn't someone say Denver would be out in 5? Looking unlikely so far :D

Illmatic 04-24-2005 10:28 PM

I can't believe they Wizards made the playoffs despite making maybe one good draft pick over the past five seasons or so.
Didn't someone say Denver would be out in 5? Looking unlikely so far
You act like no team that won a Game 1 ever lost the series.

2001 NBA Finals. The Sixers won Game 1 and the Lakers took the next four. Boo yah.

Kurtz 04-24-2005 10:30 PM

I got me a Fender Fat Strat. It's good for the level of experience I'm at right now. If you plug it in to a Boss-MT2 Metal Zone pedal and mess around with the knobs, the tone comes out pretty good.

http://tinypic.com/4pvalk

It feels odd not having the Lakers in the playoffs. Kudos to Kobe and Jerry.

ATM 04-24-2005 10:30 PM

Ray, I think we should put up a rap/hip hop FG sometime this week.

What's with people and fenders by the way? I can't stand Fenders. *shudders*

Didn't know you were a Nuggets fan. You from Denver?

And Fenders aren't bad. They just get a bad rap.

My guitar with my new pickups in it.

The finish is wearing off in some places, so I am going to be repainting it this summer and getting a new fret board for it with different inlays since mine is wearing out.

Hells yes. I lived in Denver from birth until college. I won't lie, I wasn't much into them until we sucked less...but few people were heh. THey were kinda the laughing stock of our sports teams when we had the Avs and Broncos up there.

Fenders are just overpriced. I could spend much less for the same quality.

Fenders are overpriced, but so are Gibsons (which I have trouble dealing with, personally).

Cain 04-24-2005 10:46 PM

Fenders are blues and classic rock beasts. That's where their biggest strengths are, for me. I would love a good American Fender to provide a balance to my Satch locking trem guitar...I would like to play blues occaisionally, and definitely play cleaner, chord-based guitar stuff, but the Satch one is much more suited to metal riffs and solos, and the floating trem makes blues licks sound like sh*te.

Endless Obsession 04-24-2005 10:48 PM

I hate fenders. They are really horrible for metal. Im more of an ESP, Ibanez, Gibson type.
