does that help at all?
Yeah. What else you could do is a couple of stripes up the side of the wall, though only if you want complete noobs to be able to see what it is.

Oh, yeah, I see what you mean. Yeah, I can do that.
Glue stick has never failed me.

I was bored yesterday and made a minor threat patch. I don't know if this is exactly how I want it to be just yet. Should I ad more detail? Can you recognize it as what it's supposed to be? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/asdf23/minorthreat.jpg

Here was my practice as a patch. Not sure if I'll actually take the effort to make it a patch.
^^ is that a mr. bungle patch next to the minor threat one..cause if it is, that would be awsome
It is, but it's one that's messed up for many many reasons. I have a good one done, though.

asdf 01-07-2006 01:09 PM

^ here's the mr. bungle patch I made that actually worked:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/asdf23/P1010107.jpg
I was DIY as a 7 year old when I made paper action figures.
Yeah, back when I was a kid I made figutes out of tin foil. I also used to take broken toys and glue them together to make art sculptures.

My newest patch design:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v294/asdf23/kaizersorchestra.jpg

So I'm very excited right now. I've recently been thinking about how I wish I had some place where I could paint all my stencils on to. I'd do it in my room, but my walls are allready art in there (red with splatter paint... I Don't want to paint over that). I was telling my dad about that, and he said that I could go ahead and do that to the unfinished walls in the basement. All he has to do is fill in where the nails are, and I can start painting.I'd never do real graffiti (I've gotten in trouble for it, but have never done it. Go figure), but I want to spray paint my stencils. This would be perfect.

So I went to go cut out a stencil with my X-Acto knife and it was gone. I spent so long looking for it and I still can't find it. I'm very angry about this. End of story.

Sweet! I have had a go at 'printing' shirts before, with moderate success. I was using waxed card and emulsion. What's your method?

Two pictures of the shirt I [finally] finished. I might write something on the back, I don't know what.

Now if only it was something I wouldn't be questioned for wearing lol. . :smash:

Thoughts?

I got the image from a jpeg on the internet. It said: "One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter".

I did this awhile ago. Its dirty but I still wear it once awhile.

I had just been lazy at the time, and not sure if I'm keeping them or not, so I went with something less permanent :thumb:

I'll more than likely keep the Chaos U.K. patch, so I'll sew that eventually, but I'm not too sure about the Clockwork Orange one.

due to the recent increase of people wondering about vandalism i decided to tell you that you are a moron if you get caught spraying a stencil i takes 30 seconds tops man ive done it in broad daylight on several occasions tis quite easy bring one can and no back pack although messenger bags do work quite well dont bring any stencils other then the ones you plan on using and dont be afraid to ditch them if needed ,,, another ganrly way to make a political statement that you can dpo quite easily i s making youre own stickers and putting them up trhough out your area if you are in the us the post office gives out freee usps mailing labels that work great for this purpose

holy_roller99 01-10-2006 03:52 PM

the stencil punx stencils will not work on photo emulsion projects. is there any way to fix this?.

Yeah, kids around here do that US post office free sticker thing. The thing is, they will eventually fade/come off when they're stuck outside.

Sure, stenciling places is easy as hell.

The thing is, I got in trouble for graffiti, and I've never done any in my life. I just happend to be with someone who had paint markers, and those US post office stickers, and we just happend to be walking out of an abandon building. Oops.

Bomb The Music Industry! hoodie I made today

Lukeh 01-11-2006 11:35 AM

That's so awesome, and so much better than my boring attempt, which was essentially a straight copy of Jeff Rosenstock's tee. (but with a ball point pen instead of a sloppy spray job)

You're officially my DIY idol until further notice!

Jas 01-11-2006 01:17 PM

Haha, I gotta have a go at spray painting a shirt, I wanna have a kosher BTMI! shirt like they make at shows. Although I want something a little more permanent than spray paint, so I'm thinking of trying with an air brush + fabric paint. Hmmm, I will let you know how that goes if I try it! At the moment I'm waiting for a layer of paint to dry on a BOTAR hoodie I'm making (yay for £4 black hoodies from Tescos).

Lukeh 01-11-2006 01:34 PM

Yeah, spray painted ones last quite a few washes when they're turned inside out in the machine on a light wash and give a cool, faded effect over time, suprisingly. Argh, my parents won't let me buy spray paint since they overheard me joking with my friend about using stencils to spray all over town, so I'm buying fabric paint off the net and borrowing my friend's "t-shirt pens" (basically fabric paint pens)...

Wooaahh that's crazily cheap, as much as I hate Tesco I may just have to invest in a few of those, compared to the stupid £15 ones in my little town...

Vietnow 01-11-2006 03:23 PM

Lukeh 01-11-2006 03:28 PM

Definitely! They're so good, once they were the only band I listened to (out of choice) for 6 days straight...
