:chug:

megadeth is a little too much not like music for my tastes, but i havent heard that much of them: recomendations appreciated! :naughty:
Ok You must buy atleast one Megadeth album heres best to least IMO:

1.Rust In Peace
2. Peace Sells But Whose Buying?
3. So Far So Good So What?
4.Countdown To Extinction
5. The System Has Failed
6.Youthanasia
7.Killing is My Business
8.Cryptic Writings
9. The World Needs A Hero
10. Risk

Megadeth are my fav band of all time and you must pick up Rust In Peace which is the best metal album of all time. But remember youl have to give each cd a bunch of listens before you start liking it.

Mazeppa 09-04-2005 02:39 PM
Wake Up Dead didn't catch my attention so much.

The Conjuring didn't really sink in as a song much. Just kind of went in one ear out the other.

What album is recommendable as a next purchase?
At first I didn't really appreciate PSBWB, but then it really grew on me. It's my favourite album along with RIP.
7.Killing is My Business
7? wtf?

Your list sucks, KIMB is easily in the top 3.

And i heard for many people SFSGSW sucks, to put it nicely.

MAthiAS 09-04-2005 02:46 PM

SFSGSW is also in their top 3 IMO...

RIP > KIMB = SFSGSW > Cryptic Writings > CTE = Youth = PSBWB > TWNAH > Risk

adiovivo 09-04-2005 02:47 PM

what about DSOTM?

Father_Jack 09-04-2005 02:48 PM

Does anyone else think I Aint Superstitious is really ace even tho the guitar sounds really corny, and so does the whole song really.

N.P. Megadeth - I Aint Superstitious :duh:

MAthiAS 09-04-2005 02:48 PM

Dark Side of the Moon is Pink Floyd.

No, you're the only one in the world.

I think it's a great cover myself, I enjoy giving it a listen now and then.
No, you're the only one in the world.
Oh no!

fatbandit 09-04-2005 02:51 PM

Where's PSBWB in your list, mathias?

:smash:

MAthiAS 09-04-2005 02:51 PM

O shi

fatbandit 09-04-2005 02:54 PM

Bass playingwise though, I think I'd put PSBWB maybe above RIP...?

Not sure though.

:smash:

Jev 09-04-2005 02:54 PM

I make list because lists are stupid
1.RIP (OMG)
2.SFSGSW(OMG)
3.TWNAH (OMG)
4.KIMB
5.PSBWB
6.CTE
go figure out the rest.

Metallogy 09-04-2005 02:56 PM

I was at the Gigantour last night...

The whole night was so ****ing awesome, I couldn't believe it, standing their bashing my head to Megadeth only two meters away from the stage within the pit. Dave was right their! lol...

Megadeth played with strong musicianship close to perfection & within those 2 hours or less they busted my brain! My neck still hurts from headbanging.

I hope another Gigantour comes around, I'm sure looking forward to the DVD of this tour. (They filmed Peace Sells with Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater on drums in Toronto) All and all this was one of the best concerts I ever went too!

My Top 3 Megadeth CD's would be:
PSBWB
KIMB (It's my fav right now though...)
RIP

Musical goodness wise though...

Jev 09-04-2005 02:58 PM

Hey should I ask for the name change to Thread 18? AR didn't ask.

MAthiAS 09-04-2005 02:58 PM

Yeah go for it.

FlyingPaul_83 09-04-2005 02:58 PM

1.RIP
2.PSBWB
3.KIMB
4.SFSGSW
5.CTE
6.TSHF
7.Youthanasia
8.TWNAH

MAthiAS 09-04-2005 02:59 PM

RIP > KIMB = SFSGSW > Cryptic Writings > CTE = Youth = PSBWB = TSHF > TWNAH > Risk

Done.

Father_Jack 09-04-2005 03:01 PM
Hey should I ask for the name change to Thread 18? AR didn't ask.
That is actually a pretty cool name for this thread, altho they might say that most nooby people wont know what it is and make a megadeth thread.

Meh, they'll get teh banninated. If too many people make Megadeth threads it'll be changed back.

Everyone I've seen it was said only Montreal was recorded for DVD and CD release.
But maybe that scene in Toronto will be part of the extras?

Chu 09-04-2005 11:50 PM
Thread 18 would definitely be the best thread name. If people haven't heard Hangar 18, they shouldn't even be in the thread anyway, so its perfect.

Then if it gets closed, we can have 'Return to Thread' :D
lol, yes!
SFSGSW is also in their top 3 IMO...

RIP > KIMB = SFSGSW > Cryptic Writings > CTE = Youth = PSBWB > TWNAH > Risk
You've been listening to SFSGSW recently?
I don't remember your last list having SFSGSW so high.. :p

imo... SFSGSW > RIP > *

I've always loved SFSGSW. In the past I've put it below KIMB. Now I think they're about equal.

Five Magics 09-05-2005 12:42 AM

I find KIMB and SFSGSW to be often overlooked and underrated albums becuase PSBWB and RIP get most of the attention.

Jev 09-05-2005 10:02 AM

I really think the sound quality of KIMB turns a lot of people off.

Five Magics 09-05-2005 10:08 AM

^^^not unless they listen to the remastered version. The KIMB remastered cd sounds very tight and clean, you can hear everything perfectly...especially Gar

Jev 09-05-2005 10:18 AM

Even the remastered version, It's not of the quality of the remastered PSBWB for example.

RustedPieces 09-05-2005 11:13 AM

Are the demos that they put on the CD remasterd too?

Jev 09-05-2005 11:16 AM

Nope, they're all original untampered demos.

RustedPieces 09-05-2005 11:23 AM

That's what I thought, he sounds like a chipmunk on them.

Jev 09-05-2005 11:26 AM

Dave'a chipmunk voice>every other singer. Well maybe not.

Chu 09-05-2005 11:31 AM
I've always loved SFSGSW. In the past I've put it below KIMB. Now I think they're about equal.
oic

I think I have actually grown to like Mustaine's chipmunk voice, although, whenever I show a Megadeth song to someone who's never heard Megadeth before, they can't stand his voice...

Jev 09-05-2005 11:45 AM

I kinda stole this from a thread in the pit but meh.
If you guys want an idea of what Megadeth would've been like had Vinnie and Dime joined got to Media player and play RIP at half the speed.
Play>Play Speed> Slow.

MAthiAS 09-05-2005 12:13 PM

MY WMP doesn't have that it seems.

Jev 09-05-2005 12:19 PM

I think it's only with WMP10. Either that or you need to maximize it so you can see File, View ect.

Chu 09-05-2005 12:20 PM

Edit: Nevermind, didn't work.
