Meh, I'm bored.
Here are the deathcore bands I like: As Blood Runs Black Born of Osiris Conducting from the Grave Carnifex Misericordiam The Breathing Process Suicide Silence Winds of Plague Viatrophy (are they even deathcore?) Veil of Maya Eternal Lord The Red Shore Fallen Figure Impending Doom awaiting: new Burning the Masses, and A Breath Before Surfacing albums :mappy facepalm here: |
Deathcore is now the new swear word to replace metalcore that you must hate if you're a real metalhead and post comments on Blabbermouth. Shame really, as bands like Bring Me The Horizon and all the others have tainted what can be a great genre.
Despised Icon are my favourite. All Shall Perish The Red Chord A Black Rose Burial As Blood Runs Black had a fun debut album, but now isn't really the same band. Through The Eyes Of The Dead don't really count anymore, though I'm looking forward to hearing them with the ex-ABRB drummer. Benighted have a couple amazing breakdowns, but I don't think they count as Deathcore. |
yes, old ABRB is great, people on here have mixed reactions to it.
ABRB's old drummer isn't on TTEotD, he only toured with them. I think Benighted is death/grind? I remember their vocalist was great. |

He's a great drummer so that sucks if he isn't with them properly. I think you should take bands like ABRB as they are: Adrenaline pumping fun with some tight playing. Benighted are pretty much Death/grind but with some other influences including a French rap on one track! |
they have
its their bassist read the blog son
oh word |
TTEOTD aren't deathcore
and Viatrophy mix up Melo-Death and Deathcore imo. Looking forward to hear stuff from Viatrophy's new singer and The Red Chord's full lenghth |
viatrophy's got a new singer? hope he's as good as the last

Guys here's my list:
Animosity Dead Men And Rhinos See You Next Tuesday Kissyface Fashion Faux~Pas Fleshandbloodrobot Rifles At Recess Velvet Dawn The Red Shore Knights Of The Abyss Viatrophy Bring Me The Horizon The Red Chord Glass Casket Veil Of Maya |
As Blood Runs Black is a necessity on any deathcore list though.
except they dont even have hardcore parts and they suck...
They're a fun listen, and on average bands with breakdowns and death metal parts get called deathcore. Not that it is an accurate name, but its par.
the brighter side of suffering rules
the rest of their material... not so much |
I like the production on their album. Its like a brick to the face.
a really slow moving brick maybe
So Suicide Silence is a great band, aye?
no.

sworn enemy... deathcore? what? enc stfu
quit droppoing the brain damage itt |
I saw SE with Fear Factory back in the day and it was just bad.
i can only imagine :(
Hahah, I saw Fear Factory once and it was one of the funniest performances I've ever seen. Ever. Their guitar straps were so low it looked like they were playing on their knees. I've never seen a live band with such a low centre of gravity.
I guess you've never seen Korn.
Thank God for that (sorry Mappy).
i grew out of that :(
