i'm seeing against me! in a couple of months at the garage in london. it's just down the road from where i live, but it's been shut for over a year and a half (since just after i moved to this area) which sucks. but i definitely can't wait to see the band, they are one of my all time favourite ever bands to see live.

The mostly play new songs now, which sucks.

That being said it is still worth seing! The new songs are definitely better live than on cd.


The only song that really rules on Vivida Vis is S[I]h[/I]it Stroll IMO!

yeah last time i saw them i noticed they played a lot of new stuff. but i only realised they were playing that day, and my friend blagged me in, and beforehand i'd got really smashed for free at a university function so i was just reaaalllly happy to be there and be drunk to be honest.

These new songs have potential to be better than most of the songs on New Wave.

I like New Wave, but I think their material took a drastic turn for the worse with it. Everything released before it, especially Axl and Eternal, was just so much damn better. The originality and unconventional ideas they used to have are just kinda gone.

I didn't really like Searching for a former clarity either.

Ill be honest, I actually like New Wave a little better than I liked Searching (and I hated Searching).

Whilst in my opinion its still a very very average rock album, it does contain a few parts that seem to shine through the rough (Thrash Unreal/Borne On The FM Waves). Even if every other song was great though, the entire thing is always going to be ruined by the song Stop (....what were they thinking?!)

I don't want to admit that I occasionally get Thrash Unreal stuck in my head and need to listen to it.

I don't want to like it, but I almost sort of do.
