Modulistic terror, a vast sadistic feast
The only way to exit is going piece by piece!
Yeah ;) you know it cains. |
oh yeah
what Slayer really need to do though, is lock Jeff and Kerry in a room where they can only listen to Judas Priest and Black Flag. hehe |
Haha, someone said that in the slsk chat. Probably you
/pointless point I get my account back in a day :-0 |

yeah it was me haha. |
Speaking of Black Flag, I just ordered Henry Rollins - Solipsist.
|
This has probably been posted but i have to go off the computer in about 10 seconds so there's no time for me to read all the posts. Anyway, here's some of cult with vocals: http://melo.pl/album/aid/67978
I gotta say it's really not that bad at all. The vocals aren't distorted really, and it's fast and the drums are SO MUCH BETTER!!! |
Vocals finally \m/

Whoa, this is awesome!
|
That didn't sound too bad. Drums were awesome.
It sounded pretty similar to something off Divine Intervention. |
It was awesome near the end when the double bass started on the 16ths.

Sorry for being an idiot but what do you press to play it?
|
The little button.
|
Awesome, I thought that was way better than DI sorta stuff. Here's hoping it sounds like all the classic (i.e. Lombardo) albums. The song clip shows some promise.

I doubt it will. |
I bet you all my left nut that it'll be classic Slayer.
|
nah
It will be somewhat like DI at best. |
^I thought your attitude was positive for this album?
|
Yeah, but you have to remember all we've heard is 40 seconds of one song.
|
Yeah i suppose. But normally Slayer normally only have one type of vocals on a album. So on this one we've heard kinda clean yet harsh vocals, so that's what it'll probably be for all of the songs.
|
Thanks for the link. So yeah, I was liking what I was hearing, but still not really a fan of the guitar tone.
|
Yeah in GHUA the tone suited the songs. But Cult sounds like it would be really very good in just 1/2 step.
|
Yeah, try drop B.
No. All of the songs on GHUA are in Drop-D tuned down half a step. I was talking about Kerry King in general. For the most part he sucks, though he has some gems. Jeff has written a good 90%, if not more, of the classic stuff. |
I guess this thread will thrive in two days.

Finnnally got the sample to work, it's not as bad as i thought

Jeff has said that GHUA was in B tuning.....
Yeah in GHUA the tone suited the songs. But Cult sounds like it would be really very good in just 1/2 step.
I wish they'd just stay in Eb... |
Some songs on GHUA are in Drop D half step down (Disciple, God Send Death) and some are in Drop B (Payback)
|
Meh, I guess it wasn't too bad. About 15 seconds into the song, I started liking it more. I don't dig the vocals though.
