I want it...
I want it...
Yea when I found the anothology one I was amazed, then I found the other two. I wish these were more mainstream they are somthing all Pink Floyd fans should own. Not to rub it in the face of those who don't have it of course :p |
Argh... I must find a way to own them. I think you don't know a band until you've heard them live... and in the case of Pink Floyd, you have to see them live too to really appreciate them...
I wish they were easier to find. |

I wish they were easier to find.
Is there a store near you that sells bongs and other stoner products and rare cds? I've seen at least one of them almost every time I've gone into a store like that. |
The guy I bought the set from will probably put up a new set soon.
|
Well... I know of stores that sell bongs... and I know of stores that sell rare CD's.. but here in Puerto Rico is a very hard thing. I mean, I'm the only guy I know that likes Pink Floyd around here...
Maybe if I ask my friend's cousin, I hear he likes Floyd. |
-Bump.
Well, what's yer favourite line of one of PF's songs? The one that got my attention was "And if the band you're in starts playing different tunes" from Brain Damage. At the time I was getting into Floyd, the band that I was in started to actually play different stuff, and little by little I was going out of the picture, and I, along the bassist of the band, got replace by two others, who were willing to play Metallica and Green Day. Yea, I was the problem child in my band. The bassist was just lazy. |
What exactly is a dream?
I don't know why but for some reason that line had a huge impact on me, and still does when it comes up. |
From which song?
|
favourite line?
"threatened by shadows at night... but exposed in the light" or maybe "Ticking away, the moments that make up a dull day"... when i was first getting into floyd, my life was feeling fairly purposeless, i was just going to school, being bored, coming home and living on here... gilmour inspired me to start writing some music, it really helps. plus, learning floyd solos > trying to become a faster guitarist |
if anyone could email/yousendit me the video clip of the comfortably numb solo on top of the wall, that'd be awesome.
|
From which song?
Jugband Blues, a nice way for Syd to go out. Its lyrics are really haunting. Its almost like if all the people who overdosed on drugs coming back to write one song about it. |

oh, cool. |
What exactly is a dream?
I don't know why but for some reason that line had a huge impact on me, and still does when it comes up.
That line is phenominal. Its on my aim profile now...i would put it on my usertitle, but i think somebody else already does. My favorite lines... "With, without, who denied its what the fightings all about" "Were have you been, its alright, we told you were youve been/What did you dream, we told you what to dream" "Were just, two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year" Probably all of Time and a few random ones i always notice when playing their 60's/'79+ era music. Waters is such a great songwriter its rediculous |

I think I might be the person your thinking of. I had it for the longest time till about a week ago. I also have a Floyd Quote in my aim profile (as I always do) "Alone in the clouds all blue, Lying on an eiderdown, Yippie you can't see me, but I can you Its from their song Flamming. |
"All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be."
|
You probably were pigonthewing...
And since a week ago, i changed my avator for the first time from anything related to a prism. Im not likin it either...im gonna find a new one now. Its hard to find a bad floyd quote :p |
Its hard to find a bad floyd quote :p
Oh boy... Gilmour has made plenty of 'em. |
Face it, "Who was told what to do by the man" is kind of lame.
|
Favourite line:
"Home, home again, I like to be here when I can, When I come home cold and tired, It's good to warm my bones beside the fire, far away across the field, the tolling of the iron bell, brings the faithful to their knees, to hear their softly spoken magic spell" You can read so deeply into this it's ridiculous. This isn't my favoruite Pink Floyd song either, that'd be "Great Gig In The Sky". If a more perfect piece of music has ever been made, please tell me, and I'm not joking, this is about as close to musical nirvana as is possible in my opinion. |
Face it, "Who was told what to do by the man" is kind of lame.
Yeah one of the few Roger lines that I get the impression he was just looking for a space to fill. |
Oh boy... Gilmour has made plenty of 'em.
eh...lets not get into the post waters era though. I think Gilmour tried a little too hard to match Waters. Even in High Hopes, i think the use of symbolism is weak, dispise the fact theirs so much of it. |
.

It seems like such a good name for a live cd. |

 maybe their should be a few exceptions |

No idea, has anyone read the "Inside Out" book? |
No idea,
has anyone read the "Inside Out" book?
My cousins has, defenetly get it he said "it was wicked ( )sick" |
I was going to buy that book or another one...never got around to it.
Im no big fan of reading |
Man, I've been reading a lot about Syd lately, and every time I read something more, I get more interested in him... It's weird. It's ironic how he got more and more popular because he was doing nothing.
Sorry, that was random. And yea, on MSN I have the lyric "shine on you crazy diamond" and that's because I'm using a Syd pic. |
Excellent link Deus :thumb:
Is that always streaming?
Yes sir. Wonderful site. /very late. |
Dark Side of the Moon is the best album lyrically, personally. Although SOYCD has amazing lyrics.
