Eliminator 09-19-2006 07:20 PM

Children, children.

We all know that Simon and Garfunkel were the pioneers of emo.

cobert 09-19-2006 07:22 PM

This CD will make me masturbate. It is in no way, shape, or form, bad.

Mute Print 09-19-2006 07:22 PM

I still don't know why I never got mod...oh well.

But meh, I actually don't like any of those guys' taste in music.

Most the posters here have such trendy taste in music.

You should be a mod.
Most the posters here have such trendy taste in music.
This is probably true. Including me, in some cases. But it's more because I'll try anything, and want to enjoy everything.

I agree. /starts campaign

Hehe, everyone has such different definitions of everything. Joel and I are the only ones here I know who listen to lots of Jazz and Latin music. Joel kills most of us in open minded approach to music.
Right, because pageninetynine is trendy as fuck.
Trendy taste doesn't mean listening to trendy bands. The style is still trendy.

Anyways, I'm off to my meeting and then trying to dig myself out of my homework hole, but I'll probably be back later, peace.

Eliminator 09-19-2006 07:35 PM

do i have trendy stylie taste

When I say everything, I mean pretty much everything. I think it would be cool to be into every style of music, but obviously it isn't going to happen. For example, I can't get into rap much, and have never even tried jazz.

I didn't say I like everything.

Later Vince.
Trendy taste doesn't mean listening to trendy bands. The style is still trendy.
Oh, so by "trendy taste in music" you didnt actually mean "trendy taste in music"?

Mute Print 09-19-2006 07:42 PM

I think what he was referring to was "trendy" on this forum.

In pop-punk, it's somewhat trendy to listen to emo, kind of like in hardcore, it's trendy to listen to rap.

Eliminator 09-19-2006 07:45 PM

It's pretty trendy to listen to mediocre music in here too.

cobert 09-19-2006 07:47 PM

I see I see.

I guess its trendy. The only people here that I know of that do are me, you, chris, b, an gav, and you and brandon are the only people not hxc regs.

EDIT: I forgot ELIMINATRIX

Mute Print 09-19-2006 07:50 PM

I'm a regular hxc lurker. :p

I really don't know why I don't post there, considering I love hardcore and emo.

form 09-19-2006 07:55 PM

are my music tastes trendy

evry1 needs fruity loops

it rules

Eliminator 09-19-2006 07:56 PM

I had a fruity loops demo version and I got bored with it pretty quickly.

cobert 09-19-2006 07:57 PM

Seriously, You and I are so awesome.

form 09-19-2006 07:58 PM

i did too, but then i learned how to use it and we rule

Eliminator 09-19-2006 07:59 PM

I like being able to manipulate sound waves and stuff though.

Truth. I downloaded their discography not too long ago.

What is the tracklisting for your CD? I know I've seen it before, but I don't feel like looking for it.

It changed a wee little bit. Here the fresh retype:

Rites of Spring - For Want Of
Embrace - Dance of Days
Moss Icon - Im Back Sleeping or Fucking or Something
Native Nod - Tangled
Heroin - Destination
Antioch Arrow - Suspicious Uzi
Cap'n Jazz - Oh Messy Life
Jawbreaker - Ashtray Monument
Boys Life - Twenty-four of Twenty-five
You and I - 143 (jcm)
Saetia - Postlapsaria
Pg99 - A Comedy of Christ
Joshua Fit For Battle - Blood Money
Orchid - Weekend at the Fire Academy
Jeromes Dream - 30 Dollar Bill
Gospel - A Golden Dawn
Rockets and Blue Lights - What They Made You Mean
City Of Caterpillar - A Heart Filled Reaction To Dissatisfaction

There you go.

Eliminator 09-19-2006 08:10 PM

No more ctts?

Mute Print 09-19-2006 08:15 PM

That's a pretty sweet list, Cob. I listen to pretty much all those bands, except Moss Icon and Embrace. I'll have to check them out tomorrow.

Anyway, I'm going to bed. I've felt kind of sick lately. :-\

BridgeToSolace 09-19-2006 08:20 PM

I maintain that Indian Summer is the only emo band worth listening to.
Why wont it happen? I'd venture to say I like a little bit of every style of music I've heard. Even if not a whole song, I can find redeeming qualities in most anything I've heard. So I could, for instance, say I'm into some Emo instrumentation, though the vocals negate any good instrumentation.

But you said you'd like to :p
Oh, so by "trendy taste in music" you didnt actually mean "trendy taste in music"?
? Since when do bands=music any more than genre=music?

Hardcore is ungodly trendy, hence the mass amount of genericism flooding the scene. It's also generally bad anyways, though Melodic Hardcore is greatness.

Nah, trendy on this forum won't be trendy for 1/2 year to a year in the mainstream as far as bands go, but trendy styles are all across the board, whether for picky music listeners or mainstream kiddos.

I used to think that but I branched out. But they're still the best. Funeral Diner is a close second.
I'm sick of marching band and I'm not even in it.
It takes up soooo much time. All of last week we had 12 hour rehearsals. Then a game on Saturday, and then a six hour rehearsal Sunday, and thankfully a short 3 hour one last night. Today is the first break I've gotten since last Monday.

Anxious 09-19-2006 09:21 PM

Extracurriculars can suck it.
