Just finished reading Choosing Death...book kind of sucks. I always thought that the guys at Roadrunner were dbags but there's some stuff from one of the A&R guys where he pretty much talks mad sh*t about death metal bands like Cynic and Gorguts and also Scott Burns.

The only good Metal book that I've read is the Swedish Death Metal book by Daniel Ekeroth tbh.

I got both of those for Christmas, I saved Swedish Death Metal until after I read Choosing Death, I have high hopes!

I love the awesome pictures between each chapter. Pretty good read. I love the whole two chapters devoted to Bathory.

I have a bad feeling it's going to lead to me spending hours upon hours on blogs dling new music...

Ya, I spent a few minutes looking through the discog section in the back...there's so many bands with just a couple demo's or an EP and such.

I would like to find a nice list of Finnish DM bands and their discogs also.

if you want some good lists, search RYM - you can find some decent and quite large lists of regional death metal as well as different styles of it.
