Apocalyptic Raids 01-08-2006 07:04 AM

I'm sure anyone playing guitar for 20+ years could play fast if the wanted....

CunningStunt 01-08-2006 07:07 AM

he sure can downpick like a mutha-fukka, thats all i kno

iluvkirkhammett 01-08-2006 07:08 AM

You think I meant Kirk?

I've heard Kirk plays solos plenty of times and they own everytime. I think it would be interesting to hear James do a hard out solo.

And how many times do I have to say this, I'm a she!

CunningStunt 01-08-2006 07:18 AM

i luv kirk hammett too...and i'm a he.....is that weird...

Apocalyptic Raids 01-08-2006 07:18 AM

Yes.

Have you heard some of their demos? He does some solos on them.

Yeah, I saw your photo in the MX photo album. Hawt :naughty:

iluvkirkhammett 01-08-2006 07:35 AM
No he was talking about BLS_Infernus.
Fair enough.
Yeah, he also does the solo on Nothing Else Matters, I'm talking a hard out 15 minute solos with no one backing him up and just playing all different stuff, like Kirk does, but different. That would be cool.

Thanks... **blushes**

You ever heard 'Battery'?

Apocalyptic Raids 01-08-2006 07:53 AM

I think he meant solos....

MoRbiDsKaTeR 01-08-2006 09:01 AM

Is there somewhere where you can listen to demo recordings?

iluvkirkhammett 01-08-2006 09:48 AM

There was a site but I forget the address after I downloaded them all. Have you googled it?

Edit: Grrr, beaten.

iluvkirkhammett 01-08-2006 09:57 AM

Hey, Jay, you changed your avatar again.

Sph 01-08-2006 09:58 AM

Yeah, I might keep this one for a while. 'Tis cool.

Kyle 01-08-2006 09:58 AM

Hey BLS Infernus, that Metallica set sounds insane.

I'm 17 and I really havn't seen many bands that I really love. I was just slightly too young to go to the gigs during the ealry 90's alternative scene wich I really love these days...it's annoying. Although I just got tickets for Clutch and Corroson of Conformity at the end of January, it's gonna rule.

Sph 01-08-2006 10:01 AM

I've always wanted to see Metallica after watching S&M. Never was too fussed about Megadeth though, they always seemed a little boring live.

iluvkirkhammett 01-08-2006 10:02 AM

Haha KingJay, two can play at the avatar changing game!

And Metallica will tour either this year or next, you'll see them.

Sph 01-08-2006 10:05 AM

Sweet.

Mein bass 01-08-2006 11:21 AM

I hope I can see them.
I wanna see one of Robs live solos in person. :naughty:

Sph 01-08-2006 11:31 AM

Yeah, his solos sound pretty cool.

Mein bass 01-08-2006 11:39 AM

Couldn't you guys see Lars grab his bass and try to say he's better like when he told James he could NOT drum better than him and James did.
Man that'd be hilarious.

Blank 01-08-2006 11:57 AM

Hello all.
I've been lurking around this thread for a while now.
Metallica kicks *** \m/
Good taste in music you all have, and im glad to see there next cd will be returning to there original sound.
Fantastic.
Ok guys keep rockin! \m/

Sph 01-08-2006 12:13 PM

I don't think it will completely original but hopefully ,at least, thrash influenced.

Britton 01-08-2006 12:24 PM

Like I've said a million times now..er wait has it only been a million? anyway I want some retro thrash. And a intsrumental.

Thanks for that demo site! I'd never seen that before. I'm listening to Battery right now. I like hearing this type of stuff.

When I saw tallica (http://www.livemetallica.com/show.asp?show=84)
Rob was crazy. He was spinning in circles and jumping everywhere...it was awsome.

Blank 01-08-2006 12:28 PM

Really?
 I've seen some pics of Rob he doesn't look like the craziest kind of guy.He looks more like a bouncer :( Sounds awesome though :thumb:
I honestly think Lars needs to tune his drums...like big time.
It sounds like he's playing steel drums :amaze:
Hm and am I the only person that actually liked St.Anger?

Sph 01-08-2006 12:29 PM
Like I've said a million times now..er wait has it only been a million? anyway I want some retro thrash. And a intsrumental.
Yeah, I love instrumentals. Call Of The Ktulu is my fave song. It's perfect.
Hm and am I the only person that actually liked St.Anger?
Nope. I think it's a quality album. Just not excellent for Metallica.

Britton 01-08-2006 12:31 PM

I would say my favorite insrumental is probably to live is to die. although Call of Ktulu is grreat and so is orion.

did you all hear that Dream Theatre cover of Orion?

Blank 01-08-2006 12:35 PM

Orion is my favorite insturmental by metallica.
DT covered it?
How does it sound?Seeing as it's DT im assuming perfect?
